Job Description: Project Delivery Manager

Department: PMO / Global Delivery

Role Overview

We are seeking a high-calibre Project Delivery Manager to lead global engineering project delivery operations. The role is responsible for ensuring on-time, on-budget, and high-quality execution of engineering and consultancy projects across international locations.

You will oversee the performance of Project Directors and Managers, ensuring adherence to company standards and maintaining key performance indicators (KPIs) across the entire project portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

1. Delivery Strategy & Governance

• Define and implement global project delivery strategies aligned with company objectives.
• Establish and enforce a standardized Project Management Framework across all offices.
• Identify project risks (technical, financial, or operational) and implement mitigation plans.

2. Project Execution & Quality

• Monitor project schedules to ensure timely completion and resolve delays.
• Ensure all deliverables meet ISO and engineering quality standards before client submission.
• Optimize allocation of engineering and project management resources across projects.

3. KPI & Performance Management

• Track project performance metrics including Schedule Variance, Cost Variance, Client Satisfaction, and Profitability.
• Use tools such as Primavera, MS Project, or ERP systems for monitoring project progress and reporting.
• Provide regular performance updates and reports to leadership.

4. Leadership & Team Development

• Lead and mentor Project Managers and delivery teams.
• Identify skill gaps and promote training in PMP, PRINCE2, and FIDIC contract management.
• Act as the escalation point for major client or project issues.

Qualifications & Experience

Education

• Bachelors degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering
• PMP or PgMP certification is mandatory
• Masters degree or MBA preferred

Experience

• 15+ years in Engineering Consultancy or Construction Project Management
• 5+ years in senior leadership roles managing multi-project or global portfolios
• Experience delivering large engineering projects ($100M+ CAPEX)

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of FIDIC contracts and construction project frameworks
• Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, Aconex, or Procore

Success Metrics (First Year)

• Achieve 95%+ on-time project delivery
• Standardize KPI reporting within 90 days
• Improve project margins through better resource utilization
