Job Description: Project Manager ERP

Overview

We areseekinga highly organized and proactiveProject Manager ERPto lead ERP implementation and enhancement projects. In this role, you willbe responsible forplanning, executing, and delivering ERP projects across modules such as Supply Chain,Manufacturing,and Operations.

You will work closely with business stakeholders, ERP consultants, developers, and external clients to ensure successful project execution within scope, timeline, and budget. The role requires strong project governance, risk management, stakeholder communication, and Agile or hybrid execution capabilities.

This position is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in ERP project coordination who is ready to take ownership of project delivery and drive enterprise digital transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

ERP Project Planning & Execution

Lead end-to-end ERP implementation, upgrade, and enhancement projects.

Define project scope,objectives, timelines, resource allocation, and deliverables.

Develop detailed project plans, track milestones, and ensure on-time delivery.

Manage project budgets, scope changes, and resource planning.

Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and dependencies.

Agile & Governance Management

Execute ERP projects using Agile, Scrum, or hybrid methodologies.

Facilitatesprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives where applicable.

Monitor KPIs, project health metrics, and performance dashboards.

Ensure proper documentation including project charters, BRDs, risk registers, and status reports.

ERP Functional & Technical Coordination

Coordinate with ERP functional consultants across modules (SCM, Manufacturing, etc.).

Oversee requirement gathering, process mapping, solution design, and system configuration phases.

Supervise data migration, integration activities, testing (SIT/UAT), and go-live planning.

Ensure alignment between businessobjectivesand ERP system capabilities.

Client & Stakeholder Management

Serve as the primary point of contact for customers during ERP implementations.

Conduct project reviews, steering committee meetings, and progress updates.

Manage client expectations and ensurehigh levelsof customer satisfaction.

Resolve escalations and ensure smooth communication across internal and external teams.

Process Improvement & Delivery Excellence

Continuously improve ERP project management frameworks and best practices.

Introduce tools, automation, and reporting mechanisms to enhance delivery efficiency.

Ensure post-implementation review and stabilization support planning.

Educational Qualification

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical & ERP Project Management Skills

12 years of experience in ERP project management or enterprise software implementation.

Strong understanding of ERP modules such as SCM, Manufacturing, Finance, or Operations.

Experience managing end-to-end ERP lifecycle: discovery, design, configuration, testing, go-live, and support.

Knowledge of Agile/Scrum or hybrid delivery methodologies.

Experience using project management tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, MS Project, Trello, or similar platforms.

Understanding of ERP configuration, data migration, integrations, and reporting processes.

Functional & Business Understanding

Experience in requirement gathering, stakeholder coordination, and business process mapping.

Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment.

Familiarity with compliance, reporting standards, and operational controls within enterprise systems.

Soft Skills

Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Ability to manage cross-functional teams and external clients effectively.

Detail-oriented with strong planning and organizational skills.

Proactive mindset with the ability to drive projects independently.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

Experience with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Odoo, or similar systems.

Scrum Master (CSM, PSM), PMP, or other project management certifications.

Experience handling ERP integrations, APIs, or middleware.

Experience in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance, or Distribution industries.

Prior experience in customer-facing ERP delivery roles.
