Job Description

Job Title/ Designation - Project Manager

Location Mumbai

Timings -10 am to 7 pm

Experience: 7+ years experience

Reporting To: Head Of Delivery


Key Responsibilities:


Project Planning & Delivery

  • Manage end-to-end delivery of legal services projects across multiple service lines.
  • Define project scope, timelines, resourcing plans, and delivery models.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and status reports.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and per agreed SLAs.

Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on assigned projects.
  • Understand client objectives, requirements, and success metrics.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders.
  • Manage change requests and scope adjustments in collaboration with clients.

Team & Resource Management

  • Allocate and manage project resources, including associates, senior associates, and SMEs.
  • Provide day-to-day guidance, task prioritization, and workload balancing.
  • Conduct project kick-offs, daily/weekly check-ins, and retrospectives.
  • Support performance management, training, and team development.

Quality, Risk & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to client guidelines, internal processes, and quality standards.
  • Implement quality control frameworks, audits, and review mechanisms.
  • Manage data security, confidentiality, and compliance requirements.
  • Proactively identify operational, legal, and delivery risks.

Process Improvement & Reporting

  • Track KPIs, productivity metrics, and SLA adherence.
  • Prepare dashboards, MIS reports, and client presentations.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, efficiency, and process improvement.
  • Contribute to development of best practices and delivery playbooks.

Tech Experience:

Hands-on experience with legal technology tools across at least two of the following key domains:

  • Matter Management organizing, tracking, and reporting on legal matters.
  • Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) implementing and optimizing CLM platforms for drafting, negotiation, and obligation tracking.
  • Document Management Systems (DMS) ensuring efficient storage, retrieval, and collaboration on legal documents.
  • E-Discovery Platforms managing electronic discovery processes, including data collection, review, and production.


Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong experience in managing legal services / managed services delivery
  • Excellent stakeholder and client management skills
  • Expertise in project governance, SLAs, and KPI-driven delivery
  • Proficiency in project management tools and reporting
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities
  • Understanding of data security and confidentiality in legal engagements


Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in law / business / management (LLB preferred)

Any Certifications -PMP/Prince2/Agile typically support higher bands (nice to have)

7+ years of experience in project management within legal services, LPO, or consulting
