Project Manager IR

The role is responsible for installing and commissioning complex system field devices using standard configuration and commissioning tools. This includes troubleshooting issues, resolving technical problems, and responding to basic warranty calls. The position requires maintaining regular communication with Johnson Controls (JCI) teams, contractors, and customers regarding job progress and any concerns.

The incumbent will support the validation of complete system functionality and assist in delivering site‑specific training to owners/operators on total building control systems. Additional responsibilities include providing training and technical support to Front Line Managers (FLM), operations teams, and sales teams as required.

This role also serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) by guiding junior team members and advising leadership on the most appropriate technical solutions.

Qualifications

• University degree with minimum 1 year of experience, OR
• 2‑year technical degree with minimum 6 years of experience, OR
• An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and commission advanced system field devices using standard JCI tools and procedures.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical issues onsite.
• Manage basic warranty service requests in a timely manner.
• Communicate effectively with JCI teams, contractors, and customers regarding project status.
• Assist in validating full system functionality prior to project handover.
• Support and conduct site‑specific training for end users on building automation and control systems.
• Provide technical guidance and training to the FLM, operations, and sales teams when required.
• Act as a SME to support junior engineers and advise leadership on technical decisions.
• Ensure compliance with JCI safety, quality, and operational standards.
