Junior Project Manager Contract-to-Hire (Software Development)

Contract-to-Hire (initial contract of 6 months with potential for full-time conversion based on

performance).

Role Overview

The Junior Project Co-ordinator will work closely with the Senior Project Manager and technical leads to support the planning, coordination, tracking and other related aspects of software development projects. The role focuses on day-to-day project operations in an Agile environment and is well-suited for candidates looking to grow into a full-time project co-ordination/management role after demonstrating strong performance during the contract period.

Key Responsibilities

Support creation and maintenance of project plans, sprint plans, and schedules under

guidance of Senior Project Manager.

Track tasks, milestones, and deliverables; maintain status boards and project reports.

Coordinate day-to-day activities between development, QA, design, and product teams;

ensure clear communication of priorities and dependencies.

Assist in facilitating Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, retros)

and follow up on action items.

Document requirements, user stories, meeting minutes, risks, issues, and decisions.

Help identify and track risks, issues, and blockers, escalating to Senior PM as needed.

Prepare concise internal status updates and support Senior PM in client-facing

communication.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent

experience).

2 - 6 years of experience as a Junior Project Manager, Project Coordinator, or similar role with relevant experience.

Basic understanding of SDLC and Agile/Scrum; familiarity with tools such as Jira, Azure

DevOps, or similar project management tools.

Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills; good organisation and

time management.
