Project Manager – Data & Analytics (Databricks / Data Warehouse)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Project Manager with a strong background in managing Data & Analytics projects, specifically involving Databricks or Data Warehouse platforms. The ideal candidate will have experience delivering complex data projects in fast-paced environments and a proven ability to manage cross-functional teams. Experience in the retail industry is a strong plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end project management for data initiatives involving Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Snowflake, or traditional Data Warehousing platforms
• Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements in collaboration with stakeholders
• Develop and manage detailed project plans, risk assessments, and communication strategies
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including data engineers, analysts, business stakeholders, and external vendors
• Track and report on project milestones, deliverables, and KPIs
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
• Manage change control, issue resolution, and escalation processes
• Facilitate agile/scrum ceremonies (if applicable) or follow a structured waterfall approach as per project needs
• Work with business and IT teams to align on project goals and technical delivery
• Foster a culture of accountability, quality, and continuous improvement

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field
• PMP certification is required
• 5+ years of project management experience, with at least 2 years managing data engineering, Databricks, or data warehouse projects
• Strong understanding of modern data platforms (e.g., Databricks, Azure Synapse, Snowflake, Redshift)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
• Proven ability to work in fast-paced, cross-functional environments

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in the retail industry (e.g., merchandising, supply chain, customer analytics)
• Experience with Agile, Scrum, or SAFe frameworks
• Knowledge of BI tools (Power BI) is a plus
