Project managers at Pearson India Education Pvt Ltd have an extremely important role. They are the ultimate party responsible for the success of their projects. They own the documentation of requirements Microsoft Project Planning Plan view Smartsheet representation of the schedule and communications for their projects.
Responsibilities
Coordinating between members of your squad
Your squad is a team of the following all working together on one or more projects together
Technical Solutions Manager
Project Manager
QA Lead
Project Coordinator
Creative Developer
Coordinating with other teams and external stakeholders
There are many different teams and groups within Pearson that collaborate to deliver on our contracts and support at Pearson India Education Pvt Ltd projects. You will be responsible for enabling and conducting the communication between these teams to ensure mutual understanding of requirements and solutions work through risk management and reflect on process for future improvement.
Spotlight delivers reporting solutions for clients both internal and external to Pearson. Between projects you will have varying degrees of interaction with the stakeholders involved from those signing the contracts to the end users of the reports. This may include but is not limited to
Creative brainstorming sessions
Review of feedback and collaboration with product owners and liaison with development team to get delivered in stipulated time line
Focus groups or partners.
Regular project status meetings
Manage Agile team and follow the scrum methodology.
Setting up and maintaining project specifications or requirements
This includes both Confluence pages the define the project specifications and Excel spreadsheets that contain the project requirements details.
Working with documentation from teams outside of Pearson to understand how our work will interact with theirs and what constraints there will be while defining solutions to our project requirements.
Setting up and maintaining project schedules Micro soft project planning Plan view and Smartsheet
The Project Manager build the project plan and accepted by the his her repartees and owns the schedule.
The Project Manager handles communicating the schedule with the client and retrieving important information for setting up the schedule.
Largely utilize Smartsheet templates reports and dashboard to represent the tasks that are required for every project of a certain type but the Project Manager is the one who makes necessary manual changes to the Smartsheet to reflect changes that may and will occur during projects.
The Project Manager is the ultimate owner and person responsible for all Smartsheet tasks in their projects. If an issue is late you are the one who should know why or find out why then make sure the information is apparent on the issue.
Forecasting hours that will be spent by project squad per project and per month for reporting to program managers.
Qualifications
Minimum
Bachelors degree in Computer science OR Business Management Communications Project Management etc.
at least 9 10 years of professional experience in project management
Experience with Agile Waterfall is least preferred project management
Experience with Agile workflows Jira scrum kanban scrum ban dashboards reporting should be in mastered
PM should able to write documentation in Excel MS word and confluence
Experience communicating with clients or stakeholders about project statuses.
Preferred
Project Management Professional Certification
Scrum SAFE 5.0 above certification preferred.
Experience coordinating a team of various roles and skills working towards a common goal
Experience working in education or educational technology.
Experience with Microsoft suite Teams Excel Word PowerPoint Outlook etc.
Experience with Smartsheet MPP Planview
Experience with Atlassian Confluence
Experience with GitHub issue tracking projects
Certifications Required
Scrum SAFE 5.0 above certification preferred.
