Project Manager Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)

Location: Ahmedabad

Responsibilities:

• Lead endtoend execution of utilityscale BESS projects (feasibility to handover).
• Oversee system design, integration with solar/wind assets, and grid interconnection.
• Validate EPC/OEM proposals, warranties, and performance guarantees.
• Negotiate contracts and manage vendors/consultants.
• Monitor budgets, cash flows, and risk controls.
• Ensure compliance with grid codes, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Report KPIs, risks, and progress to senior management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors in Electrical Engineering/Energy Management (Masters preferred).
• 10+ years in renewable project management; 35 years in BESS/hybrid projects.
• Strong knowledge of IPP models, PPAs, and financing.
• Expertise in battery technologies (Liion, flow), PCS, EMS, SCADA.
• PMP certification preferred.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Experience:

• Utilityscale renewable + BESS projects under IPP ownership.
• Familiarity with energy trading, ancillary services, and regulatory frameworks.
• Ability to manage multisite projects and crossfunctional teams.
