Project Manager – Automation Bot Migration

Role and Responsibilities :

In this role, you will lead the endtoend migration of robotic process automation (RPA) bots from Citrixhosted VDIs to AWS EC2 instances, ensuring seamless integration with the organizations cloud and onpremise infrastructure. Responsibilities will span assessment, design, migration, validation, and optimization phases.

Expected Activities:

Project Delivery & Leadership

• Serve as the primary pointofcontact for all AWS migration activities and stakeholder groups.
• Lead multiple concurrent migration tracks involving infrastructure teams, RPA developers, cloud engineers, and business SMEs.
• Develop the detailed Project Management Plan, track milestones, and coordinate governance meetings as per the delivery operating model.

Technical & Cloud Integration

• Oversee the migration of RPA bots from Citrix VDIs to AWS EC2, ensuring accurate mapping of compute, network, and orchestration requirements.
• Ensure reuse and compatibility of existing orchestrator licenses (UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Power Automate).
• Coordinate integration with Active Directory, monitoring tools (SCOM, Dynatrace, CloudWatch), and orchestrator connectivity.

Security, Compliance & Architecture

• Enforce key security standards including encryption at rest/in transit, RBAC, IAM governance, and compliance frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA where applicable).
• Ensure adherence to cloud architecture best practices, capacity sizing, latency thresholds (<200ms), and high availability configurations.

Risk, Issue & Quality Management

• Maintain a comprehensive risk register and support mitigation efforts to prevent migration delays or environment instability.
• Validate performance and ensure disaster recovery and BCP strategies are in place postmigration.

Coordination & Documentation

• Manage resource planning including environment access, provisioning, onboarding coordination, and testing schedules.
• Oversee creation, review, and submission of migration deliverables (assessment reports, solution design documents, validation logs).
• Provide weekly status updates including risks, dependencies, issues, defects, and change requests to leadership.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related domain (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 35 years of IT project management experience, preferably in cloud migration or automation delivery.
• Strong understanding of AWS technologies, including EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, CloudWatch.
• Handson experience managing RPA platforms (UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Power Automate).
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, GitHub integration, and DevOps best practices.
• Familiarity with ITIL, Agile, Lean, and enterprise delivery methodologies.
• PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification preferred.
