Role Overview

We are hiring for our esteemed global engineering client in Life Sciences and Cleanroom engineering , seeking a Project Manager cum Planner (PMC) to provide comprehensive project management and planning support to ensure seamless coordination among stakeholders and successful achievement of project milestones within agreed cost, quality, and timeline parameters.


Key Responsibilities

1. Integrated Project Planning & Scheduling

  • Develop and maintain a multi-level integrated project schedule covering engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover.
  • Consolidate schedules from contractors, OEMs, and vendors into a unified master schedule.
  • Act as an interface between the client and executing agencies.
  • Facilitate catch-up plans, re-baselining, and delay mitigation, with regular reporting to the client.
  • Conduct critical path analysis and float management to ensure milestone adherence.
  • Align execution with client-defined milestones.
  • Review TBE analyses and follow up on procurement activities and schedules.

2. Progress Monitoring & Control

  • Establish a robust project monitoring framework using Primavera.
  • Track daily, weekly, and monthly progress across all workstreams.
  • Generate S-curves, Gantt charts, and planned vs actual variance reports.
  • Develop analytics-driven dashboards to identify bottlenecks and trigger early warnings.

3. Procurement & Contract Management

  • Monitor procurement schedules and vendor performance.
  • Track delivery timelines for critical equipment and materials.
  • Support claims management, risk registers, and change management activities.

4. Reporting & MIS

  • Prepare and submit:
  • Weekly Progress Reports (Excel-based trackers)
  • Monthly Progress Reports (PDF format with dashboards)
  • Project Status Reports covering time, cost, quality, procurement, and statutory compliance
  • Conduct regular progress review meetings and document minutes.
  • Maintain databases for approvals, drawings, and project reports.

5. Risk Management

  • Develop and maintain a dynamic Risk Register covering cost, schedule, quality, and safety risks.
  • Facilitate risk identification workshops and periodic reviews.
  • Track mitigation actions and update risk scores.
  • Prepare Schedule Risk Analysis Reports as required.

6. Change Management

  • Maintain a Change Log for scope, schedule, and cost deviations.
  • Review change requests and assess impact on project KPIs.
  • Coordinate approvals and ensure proper documentation of all changes.

7. Quality & Safety Monitoring

  • Monitor implementation of approved Quality Assurance Plans (QAP).
  • Conduct periodic audits and issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
  • Track NCR closures and analyze trends for continuous improvement.

8. Stakeholder & Interface Coordination

  • Facilitate coordination among client, EPC contractors, design consultants, and vendors.
  • Ensure alignment on priorities, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Manage interfaces across civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and utility packages.

9. Commissioning & Handover Management

  • Track commissioning readiness, including punch-list closure and documentation.
  • Monitor handover activities to the operations team.
  • Coordinate with temporary utilities vendors for timely completion.
  • Manage transition from temporary utilities to permanent utilities.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelors degree in Civil / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering.
  • 1015 years of relevant experience in industrial projects.
  • Experience managing Civil, Structural, and MEP site activities.
  • Background in an engineering consulting firm preferred.
  • Experience in cleanroom or plant engineering projects preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, and Primavera is mandatory.
