Project Lead (Sales & Marketing): Havells Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)

Position Overview:

We are setting up Havells Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) business from scratch as part of the Renewable SBU. This is a foundational, zero-to-one role for hands-on professionals who can drive the entire value chain everything from identifying the right opportunities and partners, Product Planning (hybrid Inverters, batteries, PCS, EMS etc) to taking projects from concept to execution. If you thrive in ambiguity, take complete ownership, and want to build a high impact energy business this is business-first, build-from-scratch role backed by strong technical understanding.


Key Responsibilities:

Strategy & Market Growth

  • Build a clear end-to-end understanding of the BESS value chain products, players, costs, risks, and economics to shape commercial and strategic decisions (not detailed engineering)
  • Own the business case for BESS offerings with clarity on pricing, scalability, channel and risk
  • Conduct Market analysis to identify emerging trends, customer needs and competitor analysis

Product & Solutions Development

  • Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle from ideation to launch in alignment with market demand
  • Identify, onboard, and manage key technology ecosystem partners required to build and scale
  • Collaborate with R&D, Product engineering, & supply chain teams to develop high impact differentiated products and solutions

Business Development

  • Use technical understanding as a foundation to drive sales conversations and negotiations
  • Analyze market sales trends & customer insights to refine Go to market strategy
  • Operate as a founding team member build structure where needed, move fast, and adapt as the business evolves

What Were Looking For

  • 8-12 years of experience in BESS, Inverters & PCS, EMS Solutions
  • Business-oriented thinking backed by a solid technical foundation
  • Willingness to travel and work close to customers and projects
  • Strong data orientation and proficiency in MS Excel
  • Good Multitasking, prioritization and stakeholder management skills
