Project Lead – Piping

Role: Project Lead Piping

Experience: 8-15 Years

Educational Qualification: B.Tech / M.Tech

Responsibilities:

• Project Lead with Piping Background
• In order to support the Engineering Manager / Project Manager in the coordination and supervision of activities and interfaces of project. Project Engineers will be assigned responsibility for the multidiscipline coordination of all engineering activities.
• Prepare Project Initiation Documents, EDDR, Resource requirements and initiate Kick Off Meeting with Client
• Prepare Manpower Histogram and Project schedule
• Responsible for the coordination and daily follow-up of all engineering discipline activities and interfaces for their assigned area for the scope of work.
• Responsible for monitoring & expediting of timely delivery of Engineering deliverables
• Provides support to the engineering disciplines to schedule their activities in accordance to meet overall project schedule
• Follow-up with respective discipline leads to understand delay in project due to Man-power, Client Inputs, Software issues & skill sets.
• Prepare Catch-up / mitigation plans to meet the project schedules.
• Responsible for raising areas of concern for their assigned area to the Project Engineering Manager / Project Manager and prepare detail change order request.
• Assess and evaluate training requirements to meet Project timelines.
• Weekly & Monthly Progress reports to PEM/PM/Client.
• Follow-up with Client for Progress Approval and generate invoices.
• Prepare Project Closure Report and hand over procedures
• Prepare Lessons Learnt document and implementation in upcoming projects

• Compliance with requirements of the contract
• Effective change control process application

• Contributes to the development of overall project schedule
• Supervises work in accordance with the approved schedule

Quality Management

• Contributes to compliance with Companys policies and procedures
• Strong working knowledge of WorleyParsons engineering and procurement systems and procedures

Team Management

• Focuses team on achievement of milestones and other key project objectives.
• Listens to the team, discusses the issues, resolves problems and directs activities to remove roadblocks and achieve objectives.

Communications Management

• Regularly provides clear reports to project management.
• Effective communication with the design team and third parties.
• Accurate, timely and effective reporting to the Project Manager.

Design Management

• Sets clear objectives to the design team, including achieving productivity and budget targets.
• Ensures design team aware of, and complies with, clients Basis of Design and application regulations and codes.
• Manages inter-discipline interfaces effectively.
