TITLE: Project Engineer HVAC

What you will do

• Heat load calculation of air conditioned and ventilated spaces meeting ISO 7547 requirements as well as SOLAS and class requirements.
• DX systems and chilled water system analysis and proposing upgrades.
• Cost effective / Optimized design output: To reduce and save engineering & material cost.
• Drawing generation with maximum accuracy / minimum corrections to maintain delivery without cost rise for equipment under manufacturing.
• To provide continual technical support to engineering team for project delivery, minimizing errors in output and enhance support staff efficiency. Also, educate and support other team function for better understanding of projects requirement and its delivery for customer satisfaction
• Obtain approval from customer for heat load & machinery space calculation.
• HVAC equipment (AFU, AHU, HE, AC PLANT, VENTILATION FANS) capacity finalization.
• Preparation of single line diagram showing room design conditions, air flow requirement, fittings, valves and accessories.
• Chilled water system calculation & chilled water line diagram.
• Documentation for traceability and for ISO requirements: To focus and maintain documentation for easy traceability and for maintaining ISO requirements.
• Preparation of technical specifications for major equipment as mentioned above.
• Checking the offer from vendor to ensure that it is aligned with the requirement specified by engg.
• Obtaining the approval of all equipment drawings and single line diagram from customer.
• Preparation of BOM.
• Provide presales support by doing basic engg and estimation for marine and offshore HVAC jobs. Attend technical meetings with customers.
• Ship/ site as well as customer visits.

How will you do it

• Study the specifications, GA and understand the requirement
• Study existing and proposing new design philosophy for upgradation of air conditioning & machinery compartments serving equipment’s.

What we look for

• BE (Mechanical) Engineer with 5 to 8 years’ hands on experience in undertaking HVAC Engineering including Heat Load Calculations, Chilled water diagram etc.

Preferred

• Hands-on experience in HVAC Engineering in Marine and Naval applications.
