Project Cost Controller

Cultfit Projects is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing project costs across all Cultfit gyms and Cult Store build-out projects. The role ensures financial discipline by validating BOQs, tracking budgets, verifying contractor claims, and providing timely cost insights for decision-making. This position works closely with City Leads, Project Managers and Procurement to maintain cost efficiency while adhering to design and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Cost Planning & Budget Management

• Prepare and validate project cost estimates, budgets, and BOQs
• Analyze design drawings, scope of work, and specifications to ensure accurate costing.
• Track budget utilization and highlight deviations, risks, and overruns in advance.
• Review NT requests and ensure cost implications are well-documented and approved.

Vendor, Contractor & Procurement Coordination

• Collaborate with Procurement on rate finalization and vendor contracts
• Verify vendor quotations and have rate analyses on the proposed cost.
• Validate contractor bills, final recon bills, and additional item claims.
• Coordinate with Project Managers for on-ground validation of works executed.

Cost Monitoring, Reporting & Controls

• Maintain project-wise cost trackers, dashboards, and MIS reports.
• Monitor material consumption, wastage, rate discrepancies, and budget adherence.
• Identify cost risks early and recommend corrective measures.
• Conduct cost audits for completed projects and generate variance analysis reports.
• Provide monthly cost insights to leadership and highlight key cost drivers.
• Ensure accurate documentation for cost approvals, audits, and final settlements.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of BOQs, rate analysis, cost estimation, and budgeting.
• Knowledge of Civil, Interior, Electrical, HVAC, and MEP work items.
• Excellent analytical, numerical, and Excel/Google Sheets skills.
• Familiarity with project tracking, billing verification, and commercial documentation.
• Ability to manage multiple project cost controls across locations.

Experience & Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in Cost Control, Estimation, QS, or Commercial roles in Interior Fit-Out, Retail, or Hospitality projects.
• B.E/B.Tech in Civil Engineering with strong QS/Cost background.
