Job Description:

We are seeking aProject Associate (Engineer)to model and simulate theRaceway region of an ironmaking blast furnace.This role is a unique opportunity to:

• Develop advanced heat and mass transfer for the combustion of coal particles involving packed beds using DEM.
• Innovate in CFD modelling for gas flow through packed beds.
• Dive deeper into interaction among the various phases.
• Mentor and guide the next generation of postgraduate students.

Who Were Looking For:

Position 1:

• APh.D.holder in Chemical, Metallurgy, Mechanical, Aerospace, Civil, Physics, or related fields.
• Proficiency inEDEMsoftware and in programming languages such asC/C++ and Python.
• Expertise in modelling ofDEMbased multiparticle systems includingmultiphase flows.

Position 2:

• APh.D.holder in Chemical, Metallurgy, Mechanical, Aerospace, Civil, Physics, or related fields.
• Proficiency inANSYSCFD software and in programming languages such asC/C++ and Python.
• Expertise in modellingmultiphase flows including DEM.

Desirable Skills:

• An academic spirit, eager to explore and publish.

Experience in parallel computing and developing graphical user interface for scientific codes would be advantageous.

Other information:

The consolidated salary for Research Associate (Engineer) will be Indian Rupees (INR) 80,000.00 120,000.00 per month depending upon the experience and expertise. The appointment would be for 1 year. This position may be extended further for the right candidate and depending upon the availability of fund.
