We are hiring a Project Accountant / Budget Guardian to act as the financial gatekeeper of our operations. This role exists to ensure absolute financial discipline no shortcuts, no assumptions, no unauthorized payments.

Role Overview

You are the financial shield of the organization.

Your responsibility is simple but critical:

Not a single rupee leaves the bank without proper approval, documentation, and compliance.

You will work closely with operations and report directly on budget control, compliance, and financial integrity.

Key Responsibilities

• Verifying and approving vendor invoices strictly against POs and GRNs
• Ensuring zero payments without complete documentation
• Monitoring project-wise budgets and flagging deviations
• Rejecting incorrect or non-compliant bills regardless of pressure
• Maintaining accurate accounting and financial records
• Handling GST compliance (including works contracts and pure agent concepts)
• Coordinating with operations teams for financial discipline
• Reporting compliance issues directly to management

Non-Negotiable Requirements

• Extremely high attention to detail (even minor mismatches matter)
• Strong integrity and rule-following mindset
• Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals
• Working knowledge of GST (construction / project accounting preferred)
• Confidence to reject non-compliant requests, irrespective of hierarchy
• Clear professional communication
• Must be based in Calicut or nearby (on-site role)

Preferred Qualifications

• B.Com / M.Com
• 1 3 years experience in construction or real-estate accounting
• Experience handling POs, GRNs, vendor bills, and GST
• Experience with accounting or ERP systems
