About the Role

VLCC is looking for a seasoned and visionary Programme Head Nutrition to lead the academic strategy and execution of our Nutrition vertical across all Institutes.

This is a national leadership role responsible for curriculum excellence, faculty capability building, regulatory alignment, and industry integration ensuring our learners are future-ready and industry-relevant.

The ideal candidate combines strong academic depth with operational leadership and a passion for wellness education.

Key Responsibilities

Academic Leadership & Curriculum Excellence

• Lead and standardize the Nutrition curriculum across all VLCC Institutes.
• Design, review, and upgrade course modules in alignment with emerging nutritional science, functional wellness, and market trends.
• Integrate practical exposure aligned to VLCC clinical and wellness services.

Faculty Development & Quality Assurance

• Mentor and manage a national team of Nutrition trainers.
• Conduct Train-the-Trainer programs and periodic quality audits.
• Drive consistency in delivery standards, assessments, and student outcomes.

Operations & Compliance

• Collaborate with Academic, Operations, and Placement teams for batch planning and certification adherence.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies such as NSDC, B&WSSC, and other accreditation frameworks.
• Lead academic audits, inspections, and documentation readiness.

Industry & Brand Representation

• Represent VLCC at seminars, industry forums, webinars, and academic panels.
• Strengthen employer and brand positioning in the wellness education ecosystem.

Student Outcomes & Placement Impact

• Track academic performance and placement success metrics.
• Introduce career-readiness modules and industry exposure initiatives.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Nutrition, Dietetics, Food Science, or related discipline.
• 812 years of experience in clinical/applied nutrition, with at least 3+ years in a leadership or academic role.
• Strong exposure to structured training environments, curriculum design, and faculty management.
• Working knowledge of digital learning platforms and blended delivery models.

Preferred

• Certification in Functional Nutrition, Public Health, or Therapeutic Diet Planning.
• Experience with national skill councils or regulated training institutions.
• Passion for wellness education and scalable academic frameworks.
