Montfort Care Early Intervention Centre at The Stephen High School for the Deaf in Prabhadevi, Mumbai, provides early identification and intervention services for children with hearing loss from 06 years and their families.
With 68 years of legacy in hearing impairment through The Stephen School Trust, the centre combines on-ground expertise with innovation, trust, collaboration, and digital solutions to create awareness and drive impactful change.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Program Manager role based in Dadar, Mumbai, reporting to the Director and leading a team of 12 staff members.
The Program Manager will oversee daily operations, budgets, and reporting systems, manage a multidisciplinary team, and coordinate HR, partnerships, and communications in line with Montfort Cares mission.
The role requires an entrepreneurial growth mindset, adaptability, and collaboration with ecosystem partners, including supporting fundraising, audits, and a multi-year strategy to ensure long-term program growth.
Working hours are 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with two working Saturdays per month, and occasional travel within and outside Mumbai. The role is offered on a 1-year renewable contract with a 3-month probation period.
The salary range is 60,00070,000 per month (negotiable), and full-time presence at the centre is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day centre operations, budgets, and reporting systems in line with annual strategic plans and program outcomes.
- Implement and monitor program activities to ensure compliance with internal policies and communication standards.
- Lead, guide, and manage a team of 12 staff and volunteers, fostering collaboration, accountability, and transparent communication.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and professional development of team members.
- Build and maintain relationships with corporates, donors, partners, and ecosystem stakeholders, including supporting third-party audits.
- Assist in fundraising initiatives, proposal development, and outreach programs, including awareness events and network building within the sector.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in any discipline (mandatory) with a minimum of 2 years experience in senior management or people and program management roles.
- Fluency in English and Hindi with advanced MS Office skills.
- Preferred: MBA or equivalent masters/management degree and leadership experience in the NGO or development sector.
- Core skills: Leadership, negotiation, organisation, presentation, analytics, and networking; empathy, initiative, and clear communication are highly valued.
