About Ekya Professional Development Institute
Ekya Professional Development Institute, an initiative of Ekya Schools, is dedicated to empowering educators, school leaders, and educational systems to excel in their professional journeys.
We design and deliver high-quality professional development experiences for educators and school leaders, grounded in strong pedagogy, reflective practice, and adult learning principles. Our work supports 10 campuses, 300+ teachers, and 50+ school leaders, with a focus on building capacity, coherence, and a strong professional culture across the organisation.
Founded as an integral part of Ekya Schools, the institute has grown significantly over the years, adapting to the changing landscape of education and continuously enhancing our programs to meet the highest standards of professional development. We also offer training programs to aspiring educators, in service educators, school leaders and school systems.
Key Responsibilities
Program Implementation and Oversight
- Lead end-to-end program management, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Ensure the smooth delivery of programs, tracking milestones, deadlines, and quality standards.
- Coordinate logistics for online and in-person workshops, certification programs, and events.
- Support facilitation of the program by designing and facilitating parts of the program
Monitoring and Evaluation
- Develop and implement data-driven monitoring and evaluation strategies to measure program impact.
- Regularly assess participant feedback and program outcomes to identify strengths and areas for improvement.
- Prepare periodic reports on program performance, participation rates, and feedback insights.
Stakeholder Engagement and Communication
- Build and maintain relationships with educators, school leaders, trainers, and other stakeholders.
- Communicate program goals, updates, and outcomes effectively to internal teams and external partners.
- Represent the Institute at industry events, conferences, and seminars.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Education, Management, or related field; Masters degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in program management, ideally within an educational or professional development setting.
- Teach For India Program Manager Experience, Program Associate/Manager in Education based Not for Profits/NGOs is preferred.
- Strong understanding of K12 education and professional development trends.
- Proven experience in program design and management, curriculum development, or instructional design.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting, with the ability to use insights to drive improvements.

- Strategic thinking with the ability to create and execute long-term plans.
- Strong project management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects.
- Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
- Familiarity with digital learning platforms and virtual event tools.
