About the Role

Grade 13 (M3-B) - Program Manager- Data and Analytics

Key Responsibilities:

•    Experience in leading Data and Analytics solution driven Partnership with Snowflake and Databricks or hyperscalers (AWS, Azure data stacks)
•    Competency Development and Building capabilities in areas of partnership
•    Adept in and Data and Analytics Pre sales and solutioning activities
•    Ability to respond to RFP/RFI working with Data solution team
•    Leading, mentoring, and managing a team of data engineers, fostering their professional growth and development. 
•    Designing, building, and maintaining scalable and reliable data pipelines and storage systems for both batch and real-time data processing. 
•    Contributing to the overall data architecture strategy, ensuring it aligns with business needs and future growth. 
•    Implementing and enforcing data quality standards, security protocols, and compliance policies. 
•    Working with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions. 
•    Monitoring data systems, identifying performance bottlenecks, and implementing solutions to improve efficiency and reduce latency. 
•    Staying up-to-date with the latest data engineering technologies and tools, and recommending their adoption where appropriate. 
•    Setting objectives for the data engineering team, aligning projects with broader business goals, and driving the team towards achieving those goals. 
•    Fostering a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and collaboration within the data engineering team. 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 14+ years of experience in data engineering, with at least 2+ years in a Technical Partnership role on snowflake and Databricks or Hyperscalers(AWS,Azure)
  • Strong technical expertise in data engineering principles, data modelling, and data warehousing. 
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and related data services. 
  • Proficiency in data integration tools and technologies (ETL/ELT). 
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in mentoring and developing teams. 
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders. 
  • Proven ability to solve complex data challenges and drive data-driven decision-making.
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams and collaborating effectively with different stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to document and present technical concepts clearly.
  • Master's degree in computer science or information systems or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience
