Job Description
Key Responsibilities
1. Practice-Led Teaching & Learning
- Design and deliver applied, practice-oriented courses or modules aligned with industry standards.
- Teach across undergraduate and postgraduate programs, focusing on:
- Professional judgment and decision-making
- Industry problem-solving and execution
- Ethics, accountability, and workplace discipline
- Translate real-world experience into structured academic learning .
2. Employment Readiness & Professional Capability
- Lead university-wide or school-level initiatives on:
- Career readiness and professional conduct
- Interview and assessment centre preparedness
- Industry expectations and workplace performance
- Mentor students on career pathways, professional identity, and long-term growth .
3. Curriculum & Pedagogical Contribution
- Work with Deans and Program Chairs to ensure:
- Curriculum relevance to evolving industry needs
- Alignment of learning outcomes with professional competencies
- Contribute to:
- Case-based teaching
- Live industry projects
- Simulation-based learning and experiential pedagogy
4. Faculty Collaboration & Capacity Building
- Support academic faculty by:
- Sharing industry insights and emerging practice trends
- Co-developing applied learning components
- Participate in faculty development workshops related to industry relevance and employability .
5. Industry Engagement & Institutional Reputation
- Leverage professional networks to support:
- Guest lectures and practitioner engagement
- Live projects, internships, and industry exposure
- Employeracademia dialogue
- Act as an industry-facing academic ambassador for Woxsen University.
6. Accreditation & Quality Assurance Support
- Contribute evidence and inputs for:
- AACSB / EFMD / NBA accreditation
- Assurance of Learning (AoL)
- Graduate employability metrics
- Strengthen documentation of practice-based academic impact .
Eligibility & Experience
Essential
- Minimum 15+ years of substantive industry experience at a managerial, leadership, or specialist level.
- Demonstrated professional credibility in one or more domains (business, technology, policy, sports, creative industries, etc.).
- Strong communication and mentoring capability.
- Willingness to engage deeply with students and academic processes.
Desirable
- Prior experience as:
- Professor of Practice / Adjunct Faculty / Industry Trainer
- CXO, Partner, Senior Technologist, Policy Leader, or equivalent
- Exposure to hiring, talent development, or organizational leadership.
- Familiarity with outcome-based education or executive training.
