Professor of Management and/or Social Sciences

Woxsen University invites applications for senior and mid-career scholars for the position of Professor of Management and/or Social Sciences , across multiple specializations. We are seeking individuals with strong research credentials, demonstrated teaching excellence, and a clear intellectual agenda aligned with contemporary global challenges.

Appointments may be made at the level of Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor , or Professor of Practice , depending on experience and accomplishments.

Key Responsibilities

Research & Scholarship

• Maintain an active, independent research agenda leading to publications in high-quality peer-reviewed journals and/or respected scholarly presses.
• Contribute to interdisciplinary research initiatives and centers within the university.
• Secure external research funding, where appropriate.
• Mentor doctoral and graduate students in research and scholarly development.

Teaching & Pedagogy

• Design and deliver rigorous, contemporary courses at undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels.
• Employ innovative pedagogies consistent with global best practices.
• Supervise student research, theses, and capstone projects.
• Contribute to curriculum development aligned with international standards.

Institutional & Public Engagement

• Participate in academic governance and service at the school and university levels.
• Contribute to Woxsens intellectual life through seminars, workshops, and public lectures.
• Engage with industry, policy institutions, civil society, or global academic networks, as appropriate to discipline.
• Represent the university in national and international academic forums.

Required Qualifications

• A PhD or equivalent terminal degree in a relevant discipline from a recognized institution.
• Demonstrated record of scholarly research and publications commensurate with rank.
• Evidence of teaching effectiveness and commitment to academic excellence.
• Ability to work collaboratively in interdisciplinary environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Publications in leading international journals or with reputed academic publishers.
• Experience teaching at globally ranked universities or research institutions.
• Engagement with policy, industry, or societal impact projects.
• Experience in curriculum design, program leadership, or academic administration.
• International exposure and global academic networks.
