Role Overview

We are inviting applications from accomplished academicians and academic leaders for the position of Professor ECE / Head of the Department (ECE) . The role is pivotal in strengthening academic excellence, research output, industry engagement, and student outcomes in alignment with the universitys strategic growth and brand positioning.

Key Responsibilities

Academic Excellence and Administrative Leadership

• Lead the ECE department by overseeing curriculum design, teaching standards, faculty development, and academic quality assurance.
• Lead curriculum development as per UGC/AICTE guidelines with a strong industry orientation.
• Promote innovative pedagogy, blended learning, and technology-enabled teaching.

Departmental Leadership & Growth

• Manage departmental operations, faculty allocation, mentoring, student discipline, accreditation documentation, and strategic planning for continuous improvement.
• Drive student enrollments, program visibility, and departmental branding initiatives.
• Provide visionary leadership to scale the ECE department in line with the universitys academic and business objectives.
• Develop new-age programs, specializations, and certifications aligned with emerging technologies and industry demand.

Research & Innovation Promotion

• Drive research initiatives, funded projects, labs, and collaborations in emerging ECE domains such as VLSI, embedded systems, IoT, AI/ML, and communication systems.
• Enhance research publications in Scopus/SCI/Web of Science indexed journals.

Faculty & Talent Management

• Lead faculty hiring, performance management, mentoring, and retention.
• Build a high-performing academic team aligned with the universitys culture and expectations.

Industry Interface & Placements

• Strengthen industry partnerships, build strong industry connections for internships, expert lectures, joint projects, MoUs, sponsored labs and enhance students employability through industry-aligned training.
• Actively support placement outcomes, industry certifications, and entrepreneurship initiatives.

Eligibility Criteria

• Ph.D. in Electronics & Communication Engineering or allied disciplines from a recognized university.
• Experience as per UGC / AICTE norms for Professor / HoD positions.
• Prior leadership experience in a private or reputed university is preferred.
• Demonstrated success in research, accreditation, industry collaboration, or academic administration.
