Position Summary

NMIMS Deemed to be University invites applications for Faculty positions in the area of Operations & Data Analytics. We are seeking candidates who can bridge the gap between traditional operations management and modern data science. The ideal candidate will have the scholarly aptitude to handle courses in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Analytics, and Decision Sciences.

1. Qualifying Criteria PROFESSOR

• A. Education & Research:
• Ph.D. with First Class (or equivalent grade) in a Masters Degree in Business Management / Administration (MBA).
• Minimum 10 SCI Publications in peer-reviewed journals (preferably focused on Operations Research or Analytics).
• Minimum Research Score of 120.
• Successfully guided at least 2 doctoral candidates.
• B. Experience:
• 1015 years of experience in teaching/research/industry, of which at least 3 years shall be equivalent to Associate Professor.
• C. Industry Equivalency:
• For industry leaders: A Ph.D. with First Class in MBA or Two-year full-time PGDM, along with 1015 years managerial experience at a Senior level. Professional work must be significant and recognized as equivalent to Ph.D. level research in Analytics/Operations.

2. Qualifying Criteria ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR

• A. Education & Research:
• Ph.D. with First Class (or equivalent grade) in a Masters Degree in Business Management / Administration (MBA).
• Minimum 7 SCI Publications in peer-reviewed journals.
• Minimum Research Score of 75.
• B. Experience:
• Minimum 8 years of full-time experience in teaching/research/industry, of which at least 3 years shall be Post-Ph.D. experience.
• C. Industry Equivalency:
• For industry professionals: A Ph.D. with First Class in MBA or PGDM, along with 8 years managerial experience at a Senior level in a large Organization/MNC.

3. Qualifying Criteria ASSISTANT PROFESSOR

• A. Mandatory Qualifications:
• Ph.D. is mandatory with a minimum of 55% in Masters Degree in Business Management / Administration (MBA).
• Minimum 2 SCI Publications in peer-reviewed journals.
• B. Desirable Attributes:
• Proficiency in Analytics tools (e.g., Python, R, Tableau, or Power BI) for management applications.
• Ph.D. preferred with at least 2 years of teaching/research experience.
• Presentation of at least two papers based on Ph.D. work in recognized conferences (UGC/ICSSR/CSIR supported).

4. Area of Expertise & Key Responsibilities

• Operations: Supply Chain Management, Service Operations, Quality Management (Lean Six Sigma), and Project Management.
• Analytics: Business Analytics, Predictive Modeling, Optimization, and Data-driven Decision Making.
• Pedagogy: Delivering high-impact, participant-centered learning to MBA students.
• Scholarly Output: Active engagement in high-quality research, consultancy projects, and patent filing in the domain of Operations and Analytics.

Pay Scales

As per UGC guidelines; however, pay will not be a constraint for the right candidate with an exceptional research profile in Data Analytics and Operations.
