Senior Architect - Mumbai

About the Role

JLL is seeking a seasoned Architect with 10-12 years of experience specializing in civil project s/ commercial office fitouts. This role demands a versatile professional who excels at balancing creative vision with technical precision while maintaining strong client relationships. Based in Mumbai, the ideal candidate will help shape exceptional workplace environments across the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end design processes from conceptualization through execution for greenfield / commercial office projects

• Develop innovative space planning solutions that maximize workplace efficiency and aesthetic appeal

• Create detailed technical drawings and construction documentation with meticulous attention to detail

• Foster strong client relationships through consultative engagement and exceptional communication

• Conduct regular site visits to oversee implementation and address technical challenges

• Execute value engineering to deliver optimum design solutions within client budgets

• Prepare comprehensive material and technical specifications for project execution

• Perform quality audits throughout the project lifecycle to ensure standards compliance

• Collaborate with contractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure seamless project delivery

Requirements

• 8-12 years of demonstrated experience in greenfield/commercial office interior architecture/design

• Impressive portfolio showcasing excellence in workplace design concepts and execution

• Advanced proficiency in industry-standard design software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, etc.)

• Comprehensive knowledge of the Mumbai property markets

• Thorough understanding of local building codes, regulations, and industry standards

• Proven ability to manage project budgets and deliver cost-effective design solutions

• Exceptional communication skills with ability to present design concepts convincingly to clients

• In-depth knowledge of materials, finishes, and construction methodologies

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Architecture, Interior Design, or related field

• Willingness to travel regularly for projects

• Knowledge of sustainable design practices and relevant certifications (LEED, WELL, etc.

• Experience mentoring junior designers and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams
