Job Title:  Asst. Manager-Drawing, Documentation, and MIS

Department: Work Dynamics

Reports To:  Account Chief Engineer, India Operations

Job Location:  NKP, Mumbai

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Drawing, Documentation, and MIS Asst. Manager to oversee our technical documentation processes, manage our drawing systems, and maintain our Management Information Systems (MIS). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical documentation, CAD systems, and information management, with excellent coordination skills to connect with a team of technical specialists.

Key Responsibilities:

Drawing Management:

• Oversee the creation, updating, and maintenance of technical drawings using CAD software
• Establish and enforce drawing standards and best practices
• Manage version control and ensure drawings are accurately archived
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely delivery of drawings

Documentation:

• Develop and implement documentation processes and procedures
• Manage the creation and maintenance of technical manuals, user guides, and other documentation
• Ensure all documentation meets quality standards and regulatory requirements
• Implement a document control system to track revisions and approvals

Management Information Systems (MIS):

• Oversee the implementation and maintenance of MIS tools and software
• Analyze and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) using MIS data
• Collaborate with Technical and other  departments to ensure timely submission, collation and presentation of data for higher management
• Prepare and present Daily/weekly/Monthly and other reports as per requirements of Technical Lead

Team Coordination:

• Coordinate with team of technical specialists and project teams to obtain CAD drawings and validate them for correctness
• Track Weekly/Monthly updates on critical issues including projects
• Escalate issues if not resolved within the timelines
• Identify Training needs of the team, Formulate Training Calendar, Track and report on training related Goals for Technical team

Project Coordination:

• Liaise with project managers and Engineering Leads to understand documentation and drawing requirements
• Formulate/ Update As Built Drawings related  to Minor projects
• Resolve any issues or conflicts related to documentation and drawing deliverables

Quality Control:

• Implement and maintain quality control processes for all drawings and documentation
• Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with company standards and industry regulations
• Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions

Technology Integration:

• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in CAD, documentation, and MIS
• Evaluate and recommend new software or tools to improve efficiency and productivity
• Oversee the implementation of new technologies and ensure smooth integration with existing systems

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technical Writing, Information Systems, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in technical documentation, CAD management, or MIS
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and documentation tools
• Strong understanding of MIS principles and data analysis
• Excellent organizational and team coordination skills
• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities
• Experience with quality control processes and regulatory compliance
