Production Merchandiser (Footwear & Accessories)

Location: Kolkata (Salt Lake)

Experience: 23 years (D2C / Fashion / Retail preferred)

Around Always is a premium handcrafted footwear and accessories brand focused on bridal, festive, and occasion wear. We work with in-house design, embroidery and manufacturing units to create made-to-order, comfort-first footwear for brides across India and globally.

Were looking for a detail-obsessed, process-driven individual who can own the day-to-day flow from order to delivery - and keep our backend running as smoothly as our heels on a dance floor

Key Responsibilities

1. Order Management

• End-to-end order entry from website, WhatsApp, Instagram & offline sales
• Maintaining accurate order trackers & delivery timelines
• Coordinating customisation details (size, heel height, colour, straps)

2. Raw Material & Finished Stock Management

• Track raw materials (bases, straps, threads, trims, soles, packaging)
• Maintain finished goods inventory
• Plan stock reordering to avoid production delays

3. Coordination Between Embroidery & Footwear Units

• Daily coordination with embroidery artisans and manufacturing unit
• Track job cards, timelines, and completion status
• Ensure quality checks before final assembly

4. Client Coordination

• Regular follow-ups with brides & customers on timelines
• Sharing order updates, dispatch details & delay communication (if any)
• Handling queries related to sizing, order status and customisation

5. Packaging & Sorting

• Oversee packaging quality & brand presentation
• Sorting orders by dispatch dates & courier partner
• Ensuring correct product, size & customisation before packing

6. Dispatch Management

• Generate invoices, packing slips & shipping labels
• Coordinate daily pickups with courier partners
• Maintain dispatch logs and tracking sheets

7. Courier Follow-up & Delivery Tracking

• Proactively track shipments
• Follow up on delays, failed deliveries & returns
• Coordinate with customers for re-attempts

8. Basic Accounts & Reporting

• Maintain vendor payment trackers
• Track production costs & order-wise costing
• Support founder with weekly ops + cost reports

Skills & Qualities Were Looking For

• Strong organisation & multitasking skills
• B.Com(H) or MBA is preferred
• Clear communication (English + Hindi/Bengali preferred)
• Comfortable with Advanced Excel / Google Sheets / basic accounting tools
• Ability to coordinate between multiple teams
• Calm under pressure (wedding timelines = real timelines)

Prior experience in fashion, footwear or handcrafted products is a big plus
