Production Manager (Bioreactor/ Food/ Fermentation)

About the role:

We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Production Manager to lead manufacturing operations and production. This role requires deep technical expertise across fermentation and downstream processing, along with strong execution capability in managing day-to-day production operations.

Responsibilities:

• End-to-end ownership of production operations, including fermentation, downstream processing, and plant utilities
• Ensure strict adherence to quality, safety, hygiene, and documentation standards
• Coordinate closely with R&D, QA/QC, maintenance, engineering, and supply chain teams
• Lead production planning, shift scheduling, and manpower management
• Troubleshoot process and equipment-related issues and drive continuous process optimization
• Maintain batch manufacturing records, SOPs, operating logs, and audit readiness
• Support commissioning, validation, and scale-up of new equipment and processes
• Play a key role in Phase-2 expansion planning and future capacity scale-up initiatives

Good to have:

• Prior 1520 years of hands-on experience in biotech, fermentation-based, or biomanufacturing environments
• Strong, proven expertise in both fermentation and downstream processing
• In-depth understanding of bioreactor operations, purification systems, utilities, and plant operations
• Prior experience managing production teams in food-grade / regulated environments
• Hardworking, reliable, and execution-focused with a strong sense of ownership
• Comfortable operating in a startup pace with evolving systems and high accountability
