Product Security Engineer / Ethical Hacker

We are looking for a passionate whitehat hacker and security engineer to join our security team. You will perform hands-on penetration testing, red teaming, and vulnerability assessments on GenAI systems, LLMs, APIs, and cloud environments. Focus on identifying and mitigating real-world risks in AI endpoints and cloud setups, while supporting secure IAM, incident response, and compliance. This role emphasizes execution, automation, and proactive testing rather than high-level architecture design.

Exp level: 1-4 years exp only

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute internal/external penetration tests and red team simulations, especially on APIs, AI/ML endpoints, and cloud-hosted services to discover exploitable vulnerabilities.
• Identify and help remediate GenAI/LLM-specific risks (e.g., prompt injection, data leakage, model extraction, adversarial attacks).
• Perform security testing and validation of IAM configurations to ensure least-privilege access and avoid operational bottlenecks from misconfigurations.
• Support incident detection and response: monitor alerts, perform initial triage, gain quick visibility into anomalies, and assist in containment/forensics.
• Use SIEM/SOAR tools for threat hunting, basic threat modeling, and cloud forensics in AWS/Azure/GCP environments.
• Harden containerized workloads: apply GKE best practices, run container image scanning, support Binary Authorization, and vulnerability remediation.
• Automate repetitive security tasks using Python/Go, Bash, Helm, or Terraform (e.g., custom scanning scripts, CI/CD security gates).
• Assist in compliance activities for SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA, and AI ethics guidelines, including basic checks for data residency and Google Assured Workloads.
• Collaborate with development and cloud teams to embed security early and validate fixes post-remediation.
• Stay current on standard vulnerabilities (OWASP Top 10, LLM-specific, cloud CVEs) and contribute findings to team knowledge base.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Hands-on experience in penetration testing, ethical hacking, or application/cloud security (Associate: 24 years; Mid-level: 46 years).
• Proven experience conducting pentests/red teaming on web apps, APIs, or AI endpoints (tools like Burp Suite, Nuclei, custom scripts).
• Solid understanding of GenAI/LLM vulnerabilities and mitigation techniques (real-world testing experience preferred).
• Practical knowledge of IAM in cloud environments; ability to spot and fix common bad patterns that cause bottlenecks.
• Experience with incident response basics and using SIEM/SOAR for detection/triage in at least one cloud (AWS, Azure, or preferably GCP).
• Familiarity with cloud security tools/services: VPC Service Controls, Cloud Armor, SCC, workload identity federation, container scanning.
• Hands-on container security: GKE hardening basics, image vulnerability scanning, policy enforcement.
• Proficiency in at least one programming/scripting language: Python (preferred), Go, or Bash for security tooling/automation.
• Experience with IaC tools: Terraform, Helm for secure deployments.
• Working knowledge of compliance frameworks: SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA, and awareness of AI ethics considerations.
• Strong problem-solving mindset with an attacker perspective and eagerness to learn emerging AI threats.

Preferred (Teachable) Skills:

• Exposure to multi-cloud security testing (AWS/Azure/GCP comparison).
• Basic scripting for custom security checks or PoCs.
• Certifications like CEH, OSCP, CompTIA Security+, or cloud security associate-level (GCP/Azure/AWS) are a plus but not mandatory.
