Product Owner

We have a brand-new opportunity to join our Transformation team as a Product Owner, Parties Domain . The role works with the Lead Product Owner and will lead and develop our Parties feature team to drive optimisation of product feature delivery. You will be responsible for technology backlogs from shaping to live implementation aligned to the overall product strategy. Leading from the front you will drive business growth by understanding customer and business needs and translating them into actionable product requirements. The role will work alongside other Product Owners and align with other labs focused on Savings, Lending, Data, and Cloud technologies

Core Responsibilities

As Product Owner , you will have a strong background and understanding of managing customer data, delivering and optimising a sophisticated customer data model to support both our Savings and Lending businesses. You will develop and own the parties product backlog, working across teams to ensure key milestones are achieved as well as identifying opportunities to release further value for our customers and business.

Your responsibilities will include

• Leverage deep knowledge of managing customer data models for a large and complex customer base
• Develop and articulate a comprehensive strategy that aligns with business goals, maximising efficiency, customer experience and remaining compliant to standards
• Define, prioritise and ensure clear communication of requirements to deliver product features using EPICS and user stories
• Define and deliver value to customers and the organisation to achieve business outcomes as defined by the lead PO
• Work closely with the organisation and SMEs to develop and execute the companys desired product technology outcomes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including technology, design, customer service and 2nd Line of Defence to ensure successful delivery of products and features

Experience Requirements

Must-Have

• 1015 years of experience in banking/financial services, including 4+ years in Product Owner or Product Management roles .
• Strong knowledge of Party/Customer/Client Data Management , Master Data Management (MDM), KYC/CDD concepts, and related regulatory requirements.
• Hands-on experience working in Agile Delivery , ideally with cross-border squads.
• Ability to translate complex business and regulatory needs into actionable product backlogs and user stories.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills at senior levels (UK & India).

Good-to-Have

• Experience with API-first and event-driven architecture for data services.
• Exposure to platforms such as Informatica MDM, Reltio, Salesforce CDP, or equivalent .
• Data governance experience (data lineage, metadata, quality frameworks).

Knowledge Requirements

Domain & Banking

• Strong knowledge of Party/Customer/Client Data in banking, including lifecycle, hierarchies, and data consumption across channels and products.
• Understanding of Retail & Corporate banking use cases for Party data.

Regulatory & Compliance

• Working knowledge of KYC, CDD, AML , GDPR , and key UK regulatory expectations (FCA/PRA).
• Familiarity with data privacy, retention, and audit/control requirements for customer data.

Data Management & Governance

• Good understanding of Master Data Management (MDM) concepts (golden record, survivorship, data quality, lineage, metadata).
• Exposure to Data Governance frameworks (DAMA/DCAM preferred).

Technology Landscape

• Awareness of API-led and event-driven architecture for Party data services.
• Familiarity with platforms like Informatica MDM, Reltio, Salesforce CDP or similar (preferred).
• Basic understanding of cloud data platforms.

Product & Delivery

• Strong grounding in Agile product delivery (Scrum/SAFe), backlog management, and value-based prioritisation.
• Ability to define epics, features, and user stories with clear acceptance criteria.

Stakeholder & Business Value

• Ability to translate business and regulatory needs into product enhancements.
• Strong understanding of key Party data consumers (Fraud, Risk, Compliance, Digital, Operations)
