Role Summary

The Product Owner (PO) owns product outcomes by translating business needs into clear requirements, prioritizing the backlog, and partnering with engineering, QA, UX, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality releases. The PO acts as the bridge between business and delivery teams, ensuring product value, usability, andtimelyexecution.

Key Responsibilities

Product & Backlog Ownership

• Own and manage the product backlog: create, refine, prioritize, andmaintainuser stories and tasks.
• Define and communicate product vision, goals, and release scope aligned to business outcomes.
• Convert requirements into epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria; ensure stories aredevelopment-ready.
• Conduct backlog refinement sessions and ensure stories meet the Definition of Ready.

Stakeholder Management

• Engage stakeholders to gather requirements, clarify priorities, and manage expectations.
• Align internal teams on scope, dependencies, and timelines; handle scope changes in a structured way.
• Present product progress via roadmaps, sprint reviews, demos, and status updates.

Delivery & Execution

• Work closely with Scrum Master/Project Manager to support sprint planning and delivery tracking.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies: planning, refinement, reviews/demos, and retrospectives.
• Validate completed stories against acceptance criteria and Definition of Done.
• Collaborate with QA to ensure test coverage, UAT readiness, and release sign-off.

Product Quality & Continuous Improvement

• Validate features against real use-cases; ensure usability, performance, and security expectations are met.
• Use metrics (adoption, usage, defects, feedback) to drive continuous improvement.
• Support documentation inputs: release notes, user guides, and training materials.

Required Skills & Experience

• 38 years of experience in Product Ownership / Business Analysis / Product Management roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum, backlog management, and sprint execution.
• Ability to write high-quality user stories, acceptance criteria, and process/workflow documentation.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills (business and technical).
• Experience with Jira / Azure DevOps / Confluence or equivalent tools.

Preferred / Good to Have

• Experience working on Enterprise SaaS and/or security domains (e.g., IAM).
• Exposure toAPI integrations, microservices, and cloud deployments (AWS/Azure).
• Knowledge of security/compliance processes (e.g., VAPT remediation, audit readiness).
• CSPO/PSPO or similar Agile certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Engineering/Computer Science/IT/Business or equivalent experience.

• On-time delivery of committed sprint scope with minimal churn.
• Reduced defects due to clear requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Improved stakeholder satisfaction and measurable adoption/usage outcomes.
• Release quality improvements (fewer hotfixes and production issues).
