The DevOps & Monitoring team is seeking an experienced Product Owner to lead the development and maintenance of our DevOps & Monitoring platform.

As a key member of our product management and engineering teams, you will be responsible for defining and prioritizing the product backlog, leading design and architecting of CI/CD and Monitoring tools, and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver a scalable, secure, and user-friendly platform, with high level adoption, that meets the evolving needs of GPS.

DevOps & Monitoring platform is providing our development teams with a modern, secure, and scalable platform. This platform enables them to build, test, release, operate, and monitor software efficiently and confidently.

Key Responsibilities

Product Management

• Define and prioritize the product backlog for the DevOps & Monitoring platform, ensuring alignment with technical and business objectives, and customer needs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including other agile teams and business stakeholders, to design, develop, and deploy new features and capabilities
• Drive adoption of the new CICD pipeline & Monitoring platform functionalities through whole GPS
• Apply Agile methodologies to manage the development process, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives
• Ensure that the design, implementation, and maintenance of the DevOps & Monitoring platform is on par with the state-of-the-art methodologies and technology
• Ensure that the DevOps & Monitoring team are applying Software Development and Engineering Excellence to achieve their goals
• Ensure security, and compliance as part of goals of clean CICD pipeline & Monitoring features
• Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in DevOps, Monitoring, cloud deployment and evaluate their potential impact on the platform
• Communicate complex technical concepts and trade-offs to technical and non- technical stakeholders, and negotiate priorities and expectations as needed

Client management (internal & external)

• Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and feedback, and ensure that the deliverables meet their needs and priorities
• Collaborate with software engineers, sharing your knowledge and helping others adopting the platform.
• Collaborate with other technical leaders to define and implement best practices, standards, and roadmaps for DevOps and Monitoring
• Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team

SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

Professional and Technical

• 10+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role, with at least 2 years of experience as a Product Owner or similar role
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; certification in DevOps, or a related field is a plus
• Strong background in computer science, software engineering, with expertise in CI/CD tools and Monitoring tools
• Hands-on experience in working with Kubernetes, Microsoft Azure and Infrastructure automation technologies such as Terraform, Azure Kubernetes Services, Azure Application Services and Functions
• Experience as a CI/CD and cloud engineering, with a strong focus on Java, .NET and JS technologies
• Development skills in Java, Python and/or .NET
• Experience in working with GitLab for CI/CD and compliance enforcement (branching strategy, vulnerability management, code quality, etc.)
• Hands-on experience in working with Observability tools (Grafana, ElasticSearch, fluent-bit, OpenTelemetry)
• Good understanding of communication stacks (any of: RabbitMq, Kafka, GRPC, web sockets)
• Understanding of security topics such as Oauth 2.0, TLS, and vulnerability scanning

This role is based at client location - Mumbai, only considering candidates who are based out of Mumbai.
