Function: Product Management & Business Analysis
1. Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Product Owner cum Business Analyst with a strong background in IT product development and deep expertise across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). The ideal candidate will be responsible for defining product vision, eliciting business requirements, prioritizing backlogs, and ensuring successful delivery of product releases. This role requires close collaboration with stakeholders, engineering teams, QA, and senior leadership.
2. Key Responsibilities
2.1 Product Ownership & Strategy
- Define and maintain the product vision, roadmap, and release strategy in alignment with business objectives.
- Conduct business and customer research to identify opportunities and validate requirements.
- Establish measurable product KPIs and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
2.2 Requirements Management & Analysis
- Lead requirements gathering sessions, workshops, and stakeholder interviews.
- Prepare detailed and structured documentation including BRDs, FRDs, use cases, process workflows, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Conduct gap analysis, feasibility studies, and impact assessments across business processes and systems.
2.3 Backlog & SDLC Governance
- Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring items are clearly defined, prioritized, and aligned with sprint goals.
- Collaborate with Scrum teams for Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Ensure adherence to the endtoend SDLC, QA processes, and change management frameworks.
2.4 Delivery Management & Coordination
- Work closely with engineering, QA, and design teams to ensure clarity of requirements and timely delivery.
- Validate functional outputs through UAT, defect triage, and release readiness assessments.
- Track progress, manage risks, and ensure visibility on timelines, dependencies, and deliverables.
2.5 Stakeholder & Communication Management
- Serve as a primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams.
- Facilitate regular updates, demos, and reviews with leadership and crossfunctional partners.
- Ensure transparent communication on product decisions, tradeoffs, and timelines.
3. Required Skills & Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in Product Ownership and Business Analysis within the IT sector.
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and handson experience in product lifecycle management.
- Proven expertise in the SDLC, requirements engineering, and enterprise product development.
- Proficiency in tools such as Jira, Confluence, Visio/Miro, Figma, and Postman/Swagger.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications including APIs, JSON structures, data models, and basic SQL queries.
- Excellent communication, documentation, analytical thinking, and stakeholder engagement skills.
4. Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in domains such as FinTech, SaaS, BFSI, Retail, Healthcare, or Enterprise Platforms.
- Exposure to API-first, cloud-native, or microservices architectures.
- Certifications such as CSPO/PSPO, CBAP, PMI-ACP, or SAFe POPM.
- Understanding of data analytics, dashboarding, and performance metrics.
- Knowledge of DevOps pipelines, CI/CD, and system monitoring practices.
5. Educational Requirements
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
6. Tools & Technologies
- Product & Collaboration: Jira, Confluence, Miro/Visio, Figma
- Technical Tools: Swagger/Postman, SQL clients
- Analytics (Good to Have): Power BI, Tableau
