Role Overview

Welsbach is seeking a highly capable Product Manager to drive the execution of our capital markets technology platform.

This role sits at the intersection of product, engineering, finance, and artificial intelligence. You will bring structure, clarity, and delivery discipline to complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives that directly support live advisory mandates and transaction workflows.

You will work closely with full-stack engineers, finance/capital markets teams, and senior leadership to ensure initiatives are delivered on time, at quality, and aligned with business objectives.

The role will also involve supporting the development and delivery of AI-enabled product capabilities, including systems that assist with financial research, document intelligence, workflow automation, and data-driven decision support across the investment banking lifecycle.

This includes helping define product requirements for AI-powered assistants and agent-based systems designed to automate research tasks, analyze transaction documents, and support complex advisory workflows.

Key Responsibilities

Product & Platform Delivery

• Own end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of platform initiatives across product, engineering, and finance.
• Convert business needs into clear product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and structured delivery plans.
• Build and manage detailed project plans, timelines, milestones, and dependencies.
• Drive sprint planning, prioritization, release readiness, and post-launch retrospectives.
• Act as the single point of accountability for assigned initiatives and outcomes.
• Contribute to product initiatives involving AI-powered features, intelligent automation, and data-driven decision support tools integrated into internal platforms.
• Support the product development of AI agents and intelligent workflow systems that can perform multi-step tasks such as research aggregation, document analysis, and knowledge retrieval for internal teams.

Cross-Functional Coordination (Product + Engineering + Finance)

• Partner with product and engineering teams to define scope, sequencing, and delivery trade-offs.
• Coordinate with capital markets stakeholders to translate deal workflows into structured product features (pipeline management, mandate setup, data rooms, investor outreach, compliance checkpoints, reporting).
• Support the integration of AI-enabled capabilities into product workflows, including systems that assist with research, document analysis, and knowledge extraction.
• Facilitate clear communication across internal stakeholders and external vendors where required.
• Proactively manage expectations, unblock dependencies, and ensure timely decision-making.

Technical Execution Support

• Translate between business and technical teams with working knowledge across:
• Front-end concepts (UX flows, dashboards, role-based views)
• Back-end concepts (APIs, services, workflows, permissions, integrations)
• Full-stack delivery lifecycle (feature scoping, QA, release management, performance and security considerations)
• Support technical discovery by aligning on architecture implications, integration needs, and edge cases.
• Help structure product requirements for AI-enabled features, including systems that process large datasets, financial documents, and research workflows.
• Ensure delivery quality through testing coordination, bug triage, and release validation.

Risk Management & Reporting

• Identify delivery risks early (scope creep, unclear requirements, technical constraints, stakeholder latency) and implement mitigation plans.
• Maintain structured project documentation: trackers, RAID logs, sprint notes, change logs, and decision logs.
• Provide leadership with concise, decision-ready updates and executive summaries.
• Track post-release adoption and drive iteration based on usage and stakeholder feedback.
• Monitor the adoption and effectiveness of AI-driven product capabilities, ensuring they deliver meaningful improvements to internal workflows.

Process & Execution Excellence

• Continuously improve delivery frameworks and internal workflows to increase velocity and predictability.
• Implement lightweight governance mechanisms for documentation, approvals, and audit readiness where appropriate.
• Help build a scalable execution cadence across concurrent initiatives in a fast-moving environment.
• Support the evolution of internal platforms that incorporate automation, intelligent systems, and data-driven insights into the advisory workflow.

Required Qualifications

Education

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Finance, Business, Economics, or related field.
• Strong foundational understanding of either technology or finance, with the ability to operate effectively across both.

Professional Experience

• 3+ years of experience delivering cross-functional initiatives in product, technology, fintech, capital markets, or advisory environments.
• Proven track record as a Product Delivery Manager, or Program Manager for complex multi-stakeholder initiatives.
• Hands-on exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies and structured software delivery lifecycles.
• Experience working on data-driven or AI-enabled product initiatives is highly desirable.
• Exposure to building or managing products that incorporate AI assistants, agent-based workflows, or intelligent automation systems is considered a strong advantage.
