This project brings together publishing, storytelling, and community engagement under one unified vision.

Role Overview

The Account Manager / Product Manager Operations (GIST) will play a key role in managing and streamlining all operational activities related to The Global Indian (GIST) product. This is a full-time, in-house operations role focusing on product evaluation, coordination, and internal enablement rather than external client interactions.

The individual will act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the sales team,monitorleads and conversions, and work closely with marketing and leadership to ensure the product is efficiently promoted and operationally managed across teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. Product Evaluation & Quality Control

  • Work closely with the Founder to understand the product vision and evaluation parameters for profile selection.
  • Review and assess profilessubmittedby the sales team todetermineacceptance criteria as per GIST standards.
  • Maintainaccuratedocumentation and ensuretimelycommunication of decisions to respective teams.

2. Sales Coordination & Enablement

  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the sales team providing them with product knowledge, clarifications, and operational support.
  • Track andmonitorleads, conversions, and product performance across the sales funnel.
  • Identifypatterns or bottlenecks in the lead-to-conversion process and recommend improvements.
  • Support the sales team with updated product information, FAQs, and process materials to enhance conversion efficiency.

3. Marketing & Promotion Coordination

  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to plan and execute internal campaigns promoting The Global Indian (GIST) within Y-Axis.
  • Ensure consistent messaging, updated materials, and seamless coordination between marketing and operations.
  • Monitor promotional outcomes, track engagement, andprovidedata-driven insights for future initiatives.

4. Operations & Reporting

  • Maintain dashboards andreports ontracking lead status, conversions, product timelines, and operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Sales, Marketing, Editorial, and Product to ensure alignment and workflow accuracy.
  • Support leadership in ensuring process adherence, quality standards, andtimelydelivery across all operational checkpoints.
  • Identifyand suggest process improvements for smoother interdepartmental coordination.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • 48 years of experience in Operations, Sales Coordination, or Product Management roles.
  • Strong understanding of sales funnels, CRM tools, and reporting systems.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and coordination skills.
  • Proficiencyin Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and CRM software (Zoho, HubSpot, etc.).
  • Strong communicationand documentation skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.

Preferred Attributes

  • Experience in Publishing, Education, EdTech, or Media operations.
  • Familiarity with sales and marketing coordination processes.
  • Exposureinternal process management and product lifecycle workflows.
  • Analytical mindset with a data-driven approach to monitoring and reporting.
