Position Overview:
This role will assist in executing the product strategy and driving specific product outcomes related to Allocation charter in the Marketplace thread. The PM will support opportunity and solution discovery, build high quality products , build cross-functional alignment, and help ensure successful product launches while working very closely with Engg., Analytics and Data Science teams
Role
Drive execution of features and experiments in the Allocation charter
Define and prioritize product features, maintain roadmaps, and drive successful launches.
Own the problem discovery process for short-cycle improvements that impact order allocation efficiency.
Collaborate with engineering, data science, and business stakeholders to scope requirements, track progress, and ensure smooth launches.
Act as the first line of defense for operational and system issues in allocation flows
Translate platform-level goals into actionable product initiatives
Continuously iterate on existing products to improve traction and achieve product outcomes
Skills
Execution Excellence
1. Defines execution plans for sub-charters, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical feasibility.
2. Creates detailed PRDs with problem statements, requirements, launch planning with key milestones, instrumentation, and impact sizing.
3. Owns backlog grooming, prioritization, and roadmap planning for a charter (1-2 quarters ahead for platform/growth products, 1-2 months for 0-1 products).
4. Balances speed and quality by optimizing development processes and enforcing high execution standards.
5. Collaborates with cross-functional teams (engineering, design, business) to resolve execution roadblocks and ensure smooth rollouts.
6. Establishes a metric-driven approach for monitoring delivery efficiency and product impact.
Influencing Stakeholders
1. Builds relationships with cross-functional team members and proactively collaborates with them. 2. Uses existing data and user insights to influence discussions with support.
3. Ensures progress visibility for initiatives they are working on by following standard communication practices.
4. Participates in key influence activities such as sprint planning, product analytics, and instrumentation discussions.
5. Adheres to predefined processes for visibility and transparency in stakeholder communication. Product Discovery & Solutioning
1. Designs and executes multiple problem and solution discovery initiatives simultaneously for a charter with medium-term outlook.
2. Synthesizes insights from various methods and data sources to identify user needs, pain points, and viable solutions.
3. Builds systematic frameworks to validate and refine multiple solution options.
4. Starts coaching others on research techniques and discovery methods.
Strategic Thinking
1. Understands the companys business model at a high level and follows standard operating procedures (SOPs) relevant to their feature or sub-charter.
2. Learns to assess the feasibility of product features from an operational perspective.
3. Supports business teams in understanding basic operations and go-to-market (GTM) processes 4. Monitors product metrics, identifies anomalies, and escalates potential issues.
5. Participates in sprint planning and backlog grooming but needs guidance to align priorities with broader business goals.
