Job Description
Job Title: Product Manager
Location: Noida, UP (On-site)
Reports To: Chief Technology Officer (CTO)
Experience: 6+ Years (Must have managed products with >800k MAUs)
Type: Full-Time
About Hack2skill
Hack2skill is the fastest-growing technology and innovation management platform. We connect a community of over 7 million innovators with global tech giants like Google, AWS, and Microsoft to drive technology adoption and solve real-world business problems.
We are currently operating at significant scale, serving 400k+ Monthly Active Users (MAUs) with massive concurrency spikes during flagship events. We are now transitioning from a managed service model to a scalable, self-serve SaaS engine that will power the global innovation economy.
The Role
We are looking for a battle-tested Product Manager to take full ownership of the Hack2skill Platform. You will not just manage a backlog; you will own the Platform Strategy.
You will work directly with the Management & CTO to re-architect our product for the next 10 million users, ensuring that our "Dual Engine" strategy (Product Evangelism & Innovation Management) is delivered flawlessly at scale.
Key Responsibilities
1. Platform Scalability & Architecture Strategy
- High-Traffic Management: Design product workflows that survive massive concurrency. Work with Engineering to prioritize architectural improvements (caching, load balancing, DB optimization) alongside feature development.
- The "SaaS" Transition: Lead the strategic shift from "Admin-led" operations to "Client-led" self-serve dashboards. Build the tools that allow global enterprises to launch hackathons without our Ops teams intervention.
- System Reliability: You are responsible for the platform's stability during critical launch windows & registration/submission deadlines. You will define and monitor SLAs, error budgets, and uptime to ensure a seamless experience for our 600k+ active users.
- Funnel Optimization: With 400k+ MAUs, a 1% improvement in the registration funnel equals thousands of users. You will run rigorous A/B tests to optimize conversion rates.
2. Strategy & Roadmap Ownership
- Define the Vision: Translate the companys "Dual Engine" strategy (Product Evangelism & Innovation Management) into a clear, quarterly product roadmap.
- Prioritization: Ruthlessly prioritize features based on business value, technical feasibility, and operational impact. Balance "New Features" (Growth) with "Technical Debt" (Stability).
- Market Intelligence: Analyze competitors (e.g., Devpost, HackerEarth) and global trends to ensure H2S stays ahead of the curve in features.
3. Execution & Delivery
- Lifecycle Management: Own the product lifecycle from ideation to launch. Write detailed Product Requirement Documents (PRDs), User Stories, and Acceptance Criteria in Jira.
- Agile Leadership: Lead Sprint Planning, Standups, and Retrospectives with the Engineering team. Ensure timely delivery of features without compromising quality.
- Quality Assurance: Define the definition of "Done." Collaborate with QA to ensure every release is bug-free and mobile-responsive.
4. Internal Enablement (The "Ops" User)
- Empower Operations: Our Operations team is a key user. Build internal tools (Vision Admin, CMS Builder) that reduce manual effort and allow PMs to launch hackathons in minutes, not days.
- Operational Efficiency: Analyze internal workflows to identify bottlenecks. If a PM clicks 10 times to do a task, your job is to reduce it to 2 clicks.
5. User Experience (UX) & Engagement
- Drive Community Stickiness: You are responsible for increasing the DAU/MAU ratio. Develop strategies to keep users active between hackathons through gamification (badges, streaks, leaderboards), social features, and personalized learning paths.
- User-Centricity: Champion the experience of the 7M+ innovators. Conduct user research, analyze funnel drop-offs (Registration -> Submission), and iterate on the UI to maximize conversion.
- Design Collaboration: Work closely with UI/UX designers to transform complex workflows into intuitive, beautiful interfaces.
The Ideal Candidate Blueprint
- Experience: 6+ years in Product Management, with at least 3 years in a High-Growth B2C or B2B2C platform (EdTech, or Assessment/Hiring platforms or LMS systems preferred).
- Scale Proficiency: You must have managed a product with >800k MAUs. You understand the difference between building for 1,000 users vs. 1 Million users.
- Technical Depth: You typically have a Computer Science background or have worked so closely with engineers that you understand API latency, database sharding, and tech debt. You can challenge an Engineering Lead on feasibility.
- Analytical Rigor: You are an expert in SQL, Google Analytics, or Amplitude. You don't guess; you know.
- Operational Empathy: You understand that software supports people. You are willing to sit with the Ops team to understand their pain points and build solutions that fix them.
