Bright Money is a Consumer FinTech for middle-income consumers. It brings together SaaS products to help consumers build credit, manage their debt, and get access to suitable loans and credit cards. These are the major financial needs of middle-income consumers living paycheck-to-paycheck.
Bright is a profitable, India-built, U.S.-market Consumer FinTech, with revenue trajectory to $100M in the coming 12 months. The business model combines subscription revenue with financial service marketplace revenues for loans, credit cards, and credit-building tools.
Bright has launched an AI money assistant and AI agentic UX flows for access to credit. It will be the first AI-driven Consumer FinTech for middle-income consumers.
The Bright product suite has potential for global markets beyond the US. The market size is 100M global middle-income consumers, with a revenue pool opportunity of $15B.

Bright was founded in 2019 by a founding team from McKinseys Banking Practice (Petko Plachkov and Avi Patchava) and InMobi Data Scientists (Varun Modi and Avi Patchava). The core team is ex-InMobi Engineering and Data Sciences, recently joined by senior leaders from McKinsey.
Bright is a data-driven, fast-paced execution culture that will build a Global Consumer FinTech, all functions operating from India.
What is the team & role about?
We are hiring a Platform Product Manager - Banking Platform to own and scale core banking and money-movement platform capabilities that power multiple financial products. This role focuses on bank account lifecycles, payment rails, partner integrations, and regulatory-ready infrastructure, enabling product teams to build reliably and at scale.
This is a senior product leadership role combining deep platform ownership, people management, executive-level communication, and structured problem-solving. You will operate as a trusted partner to Engineering leadership and CXOs, translating complex technical and regulatory challenges into clear decisions and execution plans.
What will you do?
Product Ownership & Strategy
- Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for one or more Banking Services platform domains (e.g., account onboarding, verification, bank transfers, settlements).
- Define clear product goals, success metrics, and trade-offs across reliability, compliance, and feature delivery.
- Manage the full product lifecyclefrom discovery and requirements to launch, adoption, and optimization.
Banking Infrastructure & Money Movement
- Drive platform capabilities supporting bank account lifecycles and money movement (e.g., ACH equivalents, local bank transfers, instant payments, reconciliation workflows).
- Lead integrations with banking partners, payment processors, and financial infrastructure providers.
- Ensure strong handling of edge cases such as failures, retries, reversals, exceptions, and settlements.
Compliance, Risk & Resilience
- Translate regulatory, scheme, and partner constraints into clear platform requirements (e.g., auditability, controls, data retention, reporting).
- Partner with Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Operations to ensure controls are embedded into platform design.
- Drive platform resilience designing for partner outages, degraded modes, and recovery scenarios.
Execution & Delivery
- Write high-quality PRDs and platform requirements that engineers can execute against with clarity.
- Prioritize across run-the-business work, platform improvements, and new enablement initiatives.
- Lead cross-functional execution across multiple engineering teams.
Stakeholder & Internal Customer Experience
- Act as the product owner for internal consumers of the platform (Product, Engineering, Ops).
- Improve developer and internal product team experience through clear APIs, documentation, and self-serve capabilities.
- Communicate progress, risks, and decisions clearly to senior leadership.
Ideal candidate profile looks like?
Experience & Background:
- 5 - 12 years of Product Management experience, with strong exposure to backend, platform, or infrastructure products.
- Prior people management experience, including mentoring or managing Product Managers
- Exposure to high-scale, high-availability systems with strict SLAs.
- Strong understanding of APIs, distributed systems, data platforms, and cloud architectures.
- Strong systems thinking and technical fluency, comfortable working deeply with engineers on architecture and trade-offs.
Mindset & Operating DNA:
- Experience defining and using KPIs/OKRs to drive prioritization and outcomes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage complex dependencies and cross-functional stakeholders.
Non-Fit Profiles:
- Domain experts without Platform Ownership experience.
- PMs from Low-Scale or Low-Reliability Environments.
- Product Managers without deep technical depth.
- Pure UI/ UX-First Product Managers.
- Program Manager or Project Managers.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience building internal platforms or developer-facing products.
- Exposure to global-scale, high-availability systems.
- Experience in fintech, banking, payments, or other regulated systems.
