Product Manager (Accounts Payable)

Role: Product Manager

Location: Pune (Hinjewadi Phase 1)

Shift timing: 2 PM to 11 PM

About the Role

Job Description: Experience 3+ years in product management, preferably in AP automation, fintech, or ERP systems. Hands-on experience with invoice processing, payment workflows, vendor portals, or compliance (e.g., tax regulations, SOX). Familiarity with AI/ML in AP (e.g., OCR for invoice scanning, fraud detection).

Responsibilities

• Financial Process Knowledge
• Deep understanding of AP workflows (PO matching, approvals, payment runs).
• Knowledge of payment methods (ACH, wire transfers, virtual cards).
• Compliance awareness (e.g., tax, audit controls, fraud prevention).
• Technical & Product Skills
• Experience with AP automation tools.
• Understanding of ERP integrations.
• Data skills (SQL, Excel) for AP analytics.
• Stakeholder Management
• Ability to work with AP teams, finance teams, vendors.
• Translating finance needs into technical requirements for developers.
• Bridges finance and tech Understands accounting workflows but can also discuss APIs/integrations.
• Industry-Specific Knowledge
• Fintech/AP Automation: Experience with AI-driven invoice processing, RPA (robotic process automation), and fraud detection.
• ERP/Accounting Software: Knowledge of GL coding, accruals, and financial reporting.
• B2B Payments: Understanding of cross-border payments, FX fees, and payment rails.
• Sage Agile practices and knowledge
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize features and maintain a well-defined product backlog.
• Facilitate PI planning sessions and ensure the successful execution of Agile ceremonies.
• Conduct regular assessments of product performance and make recommendations for improvements.
• Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide updates on product progress.
• Identify and address any risks or dependencies affecting the product delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Computer Science, or related field.
• MBA or CPA (optional but beneficial for financial credibility).
• Experience in AP processes, fintech, ERP systems (e.g. Oracle, SAP), or B2B financial software.

Required Skills

• Experience in product management.
• Hands-on experience with invoice processing and payment workflows.
• Familiarity with AI/ML in AP.
