Job Description

Product Manager Thermal Management Products ( Automotive Industry)

Location : Chennai


Role & Responsibilities


Market Research


a) Market Research reports on PV/CV/EV/Off-Highway Segment.

b) Determine market requirements for existing & future products.

c) Data Analysis of SIAM report

d) Study global and domestic markets on the drivers for changes Regulations/ Govt policies/

disruptive technologies/players in Alternate fuels, EV and Fuel cells


Create Future growth Strategy


a) Develop Product strategy in line with the market info, meeting SMILs long term and short-

term goals and objectives

b) Identify potential partners for business collaboration JV, licensing technology for bellows

and Develop Business case and roadmap

c) Perform technical sales to the potential customers for the identifies areas of future products

for the business opportunities

d) Identify and perform technical demonstration projects in collaboration with the chosen

partners


Partnering with BD for Growth Support


a) Align with Business Development (BD) team in identifying & acquiring new businesses in

adjacent product, existing products

b) To identify & execute all growth opportunities for thermal management products

c) Create standard presentations for various product lines in thermal management products


Business Development


a) Do technical sales meeting with the potential customers

b) Develop Business case for RFQs

c) Make product costing and proposal approvals from finance

d) Commercial proposals to customers and negotiations


Project Chartering


a) Create & manage schedule for awarded programs

b) Create & manage product attribute/feature & product roadmaps

c) New project identification and preliminary charter creation

d) Document & communicate product plan

e) Technical project prioritization and actions to get to targets


Support New businesses formation in EV space


a) Perform Market study

b) Be a SPOC of SMIL with the Technical & JV Partners towards developing the products

c) Do technical sales meeting with the potential customers

d) Develop Business case for JV creation

e) Develop product development standards and processes for EV Products
