Job Description

We are looking for a Deals & Ownership Product Manager who works closely with multiple communities within LSEG to launch new and/or improved strategic platform capabilities, including design, development, and launch activities. You will help shape, grow, and expose our Deals & Ownership feed solutions via strategic platforms, migration of clients from legacy products and services to the platform, decommissioning legacy services by working closely with clients, SAM team, Proposition and Technology. This involves frequent contact across all partners, requires frequent and strong liaison with their Proposition counterpart on business requirements and support and definition of product strategy to meet client and market demands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Works with critical team members/communities in Proposition and Proposition Sales to support and help define the product capabilities, strategy, and priorities for Deals & Ownership Bulk feeds.

  • Understand/Learn the differences between legacy and strategic offering to build a pipeline of new capabilities required for client/user migration.

  • Drive product capabilities through the product roadmap as well as ensuring central platform capabilities are applied where appropriate.

  • Partners with Content Operations, Partners team and Technology to implement and complete product results.

  • Work closely with Data & Feeds business and various communities to understand the requirements and migrate them to the Strategic Bulk Feeds.

  • Work on End-of-Life programs of legacy bulk feeds as new solutions are developed.

  • Raising Product Change Notification, reviewing Data Notification by collaborating with various internal partners

  • Identifies process inconsistencies related to data and entitlements and drives service improvements.

  • Review and updates as appropriate training material, process documents, database implementations, operations procedures, standards, and technical policies

  • Ensure concise, timely, comprehensive client/partner communication of product improvements and changes.

  • Standard product management functions including roadmap ownership, collaboration with technology and Content Ops on priorities, RAID (Risk, Assumption, Issues, Dependency) management, and cross-department coordination.

  • Liaise with multiple technology teams, PCM teams and business partners to identify requirements, their conversion to functional specs, prioritizing, and driving efficient execution.

  • Lead multiple project streams simultaneously and ensure timely/quality delivery.

Requires skills/qualifications:

  • Experience in a similar role, preferably within the financial services / investment industry

  • The ability to efficiently lead multiple workstreams and think tactically and strategically.

  • Experience in business cost-benefit analysis and comparisons, as well as in building a case for, and efficiently implementing, new business initiatives.

  • Background in Deals & Ownership Dataset, as well as platform experience in developing bulk feeds.

  • Strong networking and leadership skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office 365; excellent time management; and shown ability to work independently and in a virtual team.

  • Excellent business writing, verbal communication, and presentation abilities at all levels of an organization

  • Self-motivated ‘go-getter’ and conversationalist, with the confidence to regularly work well with new clients/partners.

  • Ability to understand, translate and simplify, detailed information into easy to understand, marketing/sales-centric material and presentations.

Skills/knowledge which would be a plus, but not required:

  • Equivalent Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Marketing

  • Financial market data content and product knowledge

  • Experience in technical product and program management

  • Experience in full software development life cycle using industry standard methodologies such as agile, iterative and waterfall.
