Job Description

We are currently hiring for our client : A well-established Indian fintech player in the alternative lending/credit space, operational for over a decade with a multi-crore user base and significant lending volume.

Were building the next generation of digital credit products with a sharp focus on trust, convenience, and scale. As part of this journey, were launching new business categories that will expand our consumer lending ecosystemand were looking for a Category Manager to own this journey end-to-end.

This is a 01 role with high autonomy and real business ownership. Youll shape strategy, drive growth, and work closely with Product and Marketing to build a category that users love and repeatedly engage with.

What Youll Do

  • Launch and scale a brand-new lending category, driving strong adoption and early repeat behavior
  • Own category strategy, positioning, and value proposition in a competitive market
  • Lead market and competitor research, converting insights into actionable growth experiments
  • Partner closely with Product to optimize user journeys, funnels, and conversion
  • Drive user acquisition and category throughput, owning GMV and Average Ticket Size (ATS)
  • Work hands-on with Marketing on GTM strategy, messaging, and campaigns
  • Take full ownership of DAU, MAU, engagement, CSAT, and app ratings for the category
  • Ensure high product quality, customer satisfaction, and long-term category health

What Were Looking For

  • 36 years of experience in Category, Growth, or Business roles within app-based businesses (Fintech / E-commerce / Q-commerce preferred)
  • Strong ownership mindset with the ability to operate independently in ambiguous, fast-paced environments
  • Proven experience working cross-functionally with Product, Tech, and Marketing teams
  • Excellent communication skillsable to simplify complex ideas into clear, persuasive narratives
  • Strong analytical skills with comfort in dashboards, funnels, and unit economics

Good to Have

  • Experience scaling a financial product or category from early stage to growth
  • Exposure to tools like CleverTap, Mixpanel, Google Analytics
  • Hands-on experience with AI tools (GenAI, automation, experimentation)
  • MBA or strong technical background (execution matters more than pedigree)
