Product Deployment Engineer

Role Overview

As a Product deployment Engineer , you will lead the implementation of technical cybersecurity solutions in on-premise and cloud environment, provide support in the planning and execution of complex security projects, and guide junior engineers if required. Further you will be responsible for deploying our product in Linux environments, configuring it as per client requirements, troubleshooting system and network issues, and providing technical consultancy to customers during and after deployment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on deployment, client interaction, and problem-solving, rather than pure development.

Key Responsibilities

Deployment & Implementation:

Deploy and configure the product using Docker in Linux-based environments (on-prem / cloud / client infra)

Perform end-to-end application setup, installation, and upgrades

Ensure deployments are stable, secure, and aligned with client infrastructure

Configuration & Customization

Configure the application as per client-specific functional and technical requirements

Work closely with Product and Engineering teams to implement configuration changes

Validate configurations through testing before client handover

System & Network Troubleshooting

Troubleshoot Linux system issues (CPU, memory, disk, services)

Diagnose and resolve network issues (ports, firewalls, connectivity, DNS)

Debug Docker/container-related issues (logs, networking, volumes)

Client Consultancy & Support

Act as a technical consultant during client onboarding and deployments

Explain deployment architecture, configurations, and best practices to clients

Support UAT, go-live, and post-deployment stabilization

Provide clear technical documentation and handover notes

Collaboration & Documentation

Coordinate with Dev, QA, Product, and Support teams

Maintain deployment guides, configuration documents, and troubleshooting SOPs

Provide feedback to Product teams based on real client environments

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills (Must Have)

• Strong experience with Docker (images, containers, networking, volumes)
• Good working knowledge of Linux (Ubuntu/CentOS)
• Basic to intermediate networking concepts (TCP/IP, ports, firewalls)
• Experience with application deployment in client environments
• Log analysis and troubleshooting skills. Understanding of monitoring & logs (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK basic)
• Good understanding of shell scripting for deployment and troubleshooting

Good to Have

• Experience with High Availability (HA) setups and understanding of failover concepts
• Knowledge of Load Balancers (NGINX / HAProxy / cloud load balancers)
• Basic understanding of scalable architectures and traffic distribution
• Experience with Docker Compose for multi-container deployments
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)
• Familiarity with reverse proxy configurations
• Awareness of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions optional)

Experience & Education

Experience: 1-4 years in Deployment / Implementation / Systems / DevOps-related roles

Education: BE / BTech / BCA / MCA or equivalent practical experience

Soft Skills

Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset

Good communication skills (client-facing role)

Ownership and accountability for deployments

Ability to work under deadlines and production pressure
