About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Product Specialist with strong technical knowledge of cosmetic raw materials and chemicals. You will manage detailed product listings, update technical information, write engaging blogs, enhance product presentation, testing product samples for quality and standards, curating formulation kits and usage manuals to support customers ensuring both rich product data and an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

Catalogue & Data Management

• Create, update, and maintain detailed product listings for cosmetic raw materials, ensuring all technical data, usage information, certifications, and supporting documentation are accurate and up-to-date.
• Capture, interpret, and implement user feedback into product pages. Identify common queries, information gaps, and product improvement opportunities.

Technical Content Creation

• Creation of product documents like: Certificate of analysis (COA), Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), Allergen Declaration (AD) and Technical Data Sheet (TDS)
• Ensure the website is updated with the latest technical and regulatory information, technical documents, FAQs, and supporting documentation.
• Write and publish well-researched blogs, articles, and knowledge-base content about cosmetic ingredients, formulation science, and industry trends.
• Creating Guides and instructional content/videos for the usage of raw materials.

Third-Party Platform Cataloguing

• Coordinate catalogue management for third-party websites (e.g., Amazon) by working with external agencies/service providers.
• Follow up to track progress and ensure product listings are accurate, compliant, and optimized on external marketplaces.

Testing Cosmetic Supplies

• Curate starter kits or specialty ingredient sets tailored to customer needs, seasonal trends, or promotional campaigns.
• Develop and update clear, customer-friendly usage manuals, guides, and how-to instructions for curated kits and individual ingredients.
• Ensure manuals reflect lab-tested data and safe best practices.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Liaise with web development/IT teams to ensure the accurate and seamless display of catalogue data.
• Communicate with the procurement team to gather, organize, and verify information for new product listings and launches.

Tools & Platforms

• Use Excel (or other spreadsheets) for bulk data uploads, catalogue updates, and analytics reporting.
• Manage and update product catalogues on Shopify, ensuring data accuracy and consistency within the platform.
• Utilize Canva or similar design tools for image editing, label design, and visual content creation.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Life Sciences, or a related technical field.
• In-depth technical understanding of cosmetic raw materials, their specifications, and related industry regulations.
• 1-2 years experience in ideally within cosmetics, beauty, ingredients, or chemical sectors.
• Excellent writing skills for blogs, technical descriptions, and web content.
• Proficient in Excel for managing catalogues and data; hands-on experience with Canva or equivalent creative platforms.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to translate technical knowledge into customer-friendly content.
• Effective cross-functional collaboration and coordination skills.
• Bonus: Knowledge of Shopify cataloguing and platform management.
