The Role: Product Category Manager Experience : 6 to 8 years

1. Strategic Planning/Execution:

  • Develop and implement category strategies aligned with overall business objectives.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Set objectives, tactical & long term for key performance indicators (KPIs) for the category.
  • Monitor category performance against targets and make adjustments as needed.

2. Product Management:

  • Determine the optimal product assortment within the category, including variations and pricing.
  • Manage product lifecycles, from introduction to obsolescence.
  • Ensure product availability and minimize stockouts and overstocks.

3. Sales & Marketing:

  • Work closely with Sales and Marketing teams to develop and execute category-specific strategies.
  • Analyze sales data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement & opportunity.
  • Develop pricing strategies and promotional plans to drive sales and increase brand visibility.

4. Financial Management:

  • Manage the category budget and ensure profitability.
  • Track expenses and revenue related to the category.
  • Analyze financial performance and make recommendations for improvement.

5. Team Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Brand Marketing, Trade Marketing, Sales, Finance and Supply Chain.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Provide guidance and support to other team members.

6. Analytical Skills:

  • Utilize strong analytical skills to interpret market data, consumer trends, and sales metrics.
  • Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions about product selection, pricing, and promotions.
  • Monitor and evaluate category performance against established goals and make adjustments as needed
