Responsibilities: 

General

  • Collaborate with the ESS and EMS-Edge product leads and teams to define product requirements and support the development of new capabilities 

Energy Storage Systems 

  • Collaborate with the Tech team to develop and maintain a modular ESS product configurator tool 

  • Review technical documentation for the onboarding of Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) hardware 

  • Test Stem’s Modular Energy Controller (MEC) with different DC block and Power Conversion System (PCS)/inverter combinations, including reviewing the communication interface between the MEC and the OEM hardware 

  • Maintain key ESS documentation, including an up-to-date Partner Content Library (PCL), Single Line Diagrams, and Stem’s ESS Product Matrix 

EMS-Edge 

  • Facilitate release to sales and release to delivery processes and checklist 

  • Develop, curate, and manage technical documentation related to EMS, PPC, and SCADA solutions 

  • Develop and manage work instructions for high-availability SCADA, both VMs and Clustering 

  • Contribute standardized language for EMS and edge contracting, proposal, and warranty documentations.

Product Requirements 

  • Support the development of detailed product requirements for ESS hardware, MEC, cloud software, and edge components in collaboration with technical product management and development stakeholders 

  • Support detailed development planning efforts with contributions to user stories and general subject matter expertise 

 

 

Requirements: 

  • /Master’s degree in engineering (preference for electrical engineering), computer science, business, or a related field.   

  • 3+ years of experience in product management, product marketing, business development, and/or market entry 

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in the energy industry, specifically with energy storage, with solar experience a plus 

  • Working knowledge of battery technologies, PCS, system integration, control hardware, and EMS 

  • General knowledge of energy market fundamentals
