Job Description
Job Title: Procurement Specialist
Location: West Bengal
Engagement: Full-time
No. of Positions: 1
Salary: 60k-80k
Qualification:
- Masters degree in Commerce/ Business/Information Technology/ Computer Science, or related field from a recognized institution.
Experience:
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in the public sector, preferably in the social sector.
- Prior experience with bilateral/multilateral or externally aided projects preferred.
- Strong understanding of government and international procurement procedures and applicable legal frameworks.
- Must have Experience in Procurement in govt. sector
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare TORs, REOIs, RFPs, and RFQs with technical inputs and ensure compliance with World Bank and State Government guidelines.
- Handle bidder communications, pre-bid meetings, queries, and documentation.
- Maintain accurate records of all procurement activities and support audits as required.
- Provide contract management support for consultants and partner agencies.
- Coordinate with the World Bank, Finance Department, and DWCDSW for smooth procurement operations.
- Build capacity of PMU and DWCDSW staff in procurement systems and processes.
- Support the development of a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for procurement.
