Role Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Global Sourcing partner to lead international sourcing and import operations of agriculture-related commodities. The incumbent will be responsible for vendor identification, international procurement, EXIM compliance, negotiation, and supply chain coordination to ensure cost-effective and timely procurement aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. International Sourcing & Procurement

• Identify and develop international suppliers for agriculture-related commodities.
• Lead end-to-end import sourcing operations including vendor negotiation, contracting, and order finalization.
• Evaluate global market trends, pricing, and supply risks.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with overseas vendors.

2. EXIM & Compliance Management

• Handle complete EXIM documentation and import procedures.
• Coordinate with CHA, freight forwarders, and customs authorities.
• Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, DGFT norms, and import policies.
• Manage LC documentation, payment terms, and shipping coordination.

3. Vendor Development & Lead Conversion

• Identify potential international leads through digital platforms, trade portals, exhibitions, and industry networks.
• Evaluate and convert potential suppliers into approved vendors.
• Conduct supplier audits and performance reviews.

4. Cost Optimization & Negotiation

• Drive cost-saving initiatives through strategic negotiations.
• Benchmark international prices and optimize landed cost.
• Manage contracts and payment terms effectively.

5. Coordination & Internal Stakeholder Management

• Work closely with finance, logistics, production, and regulatory teams.
• Ensure smooth supply chain flow from sourcing to delivery.
• Monitor inventory planning in coordination with planning teams.

Required Qualifications:

• MBA in International Business / Supply Chain Management / Operations Management (Preferred)
• Bachelors or Masters Degree in Agriculture or any related field from a recognized university

Experience Required:

• Minimum 56 years of experience in international sourcing / imports.
• Proven experience handling agriculture-related commodities.
• Strong hands-on experience in EXIM operations and documentation.
• Experience dealing with international vendors and global markets.
