Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Sourcing & Negotiation: Identify, evaluate, and develop suppliers for automation products (e.g., PLCs, servos, HMIs) to ensure cost-effectiveness and high quality.
- Supply Chain Management: Manage end-to-end procurement processes, including Purchase Order (PO) creation, tracking, and ensuring timely delivery to support production.
- Vendor Management: Build and maintain long-term relationships with suppliers, conducting performance reviews and audits.
- Inventory & Material Management: Oversee raw material planning, maintain optimal stock levels based on MRP (Material Requirements Planning) reports, and manage import activities (customs clearance, documentation).
- Cost Optimization: Implement cost-saving initiatives and negotiate contracts to reduce procurement costs.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with marketing, production, and R&D teams to align procurement with market demand and production schedules.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: Generally requires 12-20 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, specifically within the manufacturing or industrial automation sector.
- Education: BE/BTech (Engineering) or a relevant degree in Supply Chain Management.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (like SAP or Oracle), proficiency in MS Excel, and knowledge of import-export regulations.
- Competencies: Strong negotiation skills, analytical capabilities, vendor relationship management, and proficiency in English.
