Role Summary

We are looking for a Procurement Intern (Mechanical) to support sourcing, vendor coordination, and procurement tracking for hydrogen and wastewater projects. This role will work closely with the Mechanical Engineering team to not only execute procurement activities but also help establish structured procurement workflows, vendor management systems, and standardised processes as the organisation scales.

What Youll Do

Procurement Execution

• Support vendor identification, evaluation, and onboarding for mechanical components, fabrication, and services.
• Prepare and manage RFQs, quotation comparisons, and vendor coordination.
• Coordinate with engineers on drawings, BOMs, technical specifications, and material requirements.
• Track purchase requests, delivery timelines, and supplier follow-ups.

Procurement System Development

• Assist in building structured procurement workflows and standardised documentation.
• Develop and maintain a centralised vendor database and pricing records.
• Help establish procurement tracking systems and process templates.
• Support implementation of scalable procurement practices for mechanical operations.

Coordination & Process Ownership

• Act as a coordination bridge between the engineering team and vendors.
• Maintain procurement documentation, trackers, and audit-ready records.
• Proactively follow up with vendors to avoid delays and mitigate risks.

What Were Looking For

• Pursuing or recently completed B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• Interest in procurement, supply chain, or project coordination.
• Basic understanding of mechanical components, fabrication, and engineering drawings.
• Strong communication, documentation, and Excel skills.
• Proactive, organised, and demonstrates an ownership mindset and enthusiasm for building efficient systems.
